Altered State
Richard Haig Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

I can't believe my mind that you're really there
You slipped into my night unaware
A moment of surprise at the scent you wear
Your tendrils in my life can't compare
Your spirit looks sublime in this altered state
You place your hands on mine, tempting fate
We're falling back through time, I can't hear your faint
You move your mouth on mine, just escape
Through this altered state
I can feel your shape
Through this altered state
I can feel your shape
Through this altered state
I can feel your shape

Through this altered state
I can feel your shape

All meditation really is, is communion.
It’s consciously spending time with God - or, if you prefer Jesus, Buddha, Higher Self, etc. It’s connecting.

Don’t try forcing non-judgment or unconditional love. Instead, strive to learn to ALLOW the Love of God to flow through you.

Remember: β€œOf myself I can do nothing. It is the Father in me that does the works.”

The more we practice being in communion with God, the less often the ego will dominate our lives. The Higher Self gets in the driver’s seat and our struggles to be loving are over. It just happens. The Love is there. We just need to get out of the way.

That’s what meditation and contemplation are for.
But the ego wants to complicate everything so that it doesn’t have to get in the back seat.

Funny I was just discussing this with my children. I have felt this connection with the creator since childhood. I have been labeled and judged since birth. But I never let it stop me. This video is what needs to be taught today. Thank you for this experience.

I have the same feeling here! I’ve always had this deep and strong conscious thoughts since a child. I was even thinking about it today bc I remember when I was like 4 I prayed to God to take me to Heaven so I can see him and my mom was driving and told me not to do that lol

Alex, thank you for what you are doing! I found you by happenstance and I'm so grateful to the universe for that. I'm a newly "woken up" person and I am so eager to learn more. I'm 67 years old and spent 65 years of that as a brainwashed Christian...... I knew there was more to life than what the church taught. Now I'm all ears...... no friends now but ... all ears. Blessings my friend.

There isn't more, only different ways to say the same thing. The ego wants to complicat things. Just practice being present now.
The hardest thing to do is be present with another person. Look into their eyes and see yourself looking back.

why lose all the friends? I use discernment and know to whom I can talk to about some stuff. If I would tell all this stuff to my people some would be certainly shocked and be disappointed. Now we are at peace and I keep digging πŸ˜‚ at the end of the day, we are all one. And I want peace with everyone. Not that I agree with everything but it's ok✌️
