Find
Ridgewalkers and El Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

They always leave the best till last
Have understanding, no questions asked
You find yourself in what you see
You found yourself in me

You found yourself in me

The day is short, the night is cool
And this night, it was made for fools
You won't find fools like me and you
I found myself in you

You found yourself

Overall Meaning

in me, and I found myself in you - this is the essence of the song "Find" by Ridgewalkers and El. The first two lines of the song suggest that the best moments of a relationship are often saved for the end. This could mean that people tend to appreciate the positive aspects of their partners only when the relationship is about to end. The next line, "Have understanding, no questions asked," implies that true connections are built on mutual trust and not by constantly questioning one's partner.

The chorus of the song, "You find yourself in what you see, you found yourself in me," suggests a deep emotional and spiritual connection between the two individuals in the song. It means that they see themselves in each other and have discovered parts of themselves in the other person. The following verses talk about the transience of life, how time is short, and how it is essential to make the most of the time we have.

In conclusion, the song "Find" can be seen as an ode to the beauty and fragility of human relationships. It talks about the importance of trust, understanding, and connection that can only be discovered when we allow ourselves to be vulnerable.

I never comment on here but this is such a fantastic track. An old Steve May set reminded me of it. I remember seeing you play Godskitchen in Bham - great memories.
That period around 2004, the music was incredible with Andy Moor, Subsky, David West, Matthew Dekay, Perry O'Neil, Max Graham.. and more that I've probably forgotten about. Wish that music was still being produced now.
