Blackbird
Ringmasters Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Blackbird singing in the dead of night,
take these broken wings and learn to fly
All your life, you were only waiting for this moment to arise
Blackbird singing in the dead of night,
take these sunken eyes and learn to see
All your life, you were only waiting for this moment to be free
Black-bird fly
Black-bird fly, into the light of a dark black night
Black-bird fly
Black-bird fly,
into the light of a dark black night
ohohoho
Blackbird singing in the dead of night,
take these broken wings and learn to fly
All your life,
you were only waiting for this moment to arise

you were only waiting for this moment to arise
you were only waiting for this moment to arise

Meine Verehrung.❤

I love Rasmus on lead as well - Jakob is great but Rasmus's voice has a poignant quality which really suits this song.

@SOBIESKI_freedom

Ringmasters does it again and gives me the tingles with their endings. Well done, Ringmasters! Thanks for giving me the tingles!

@chizo1205

I prefer this version with jakob on tenor! He has such a clean timbre

@PnPHylandFamily

Pleasant voices and all well matched - CHECK; perfect intonation (ears) - CHECK; innate sense of rhythm - CHECK; excellent choice of song - CHECK; clever arrangement with mass appeal- CHECK. Ya mean that's all it takes? Heck, anyone can do that! Ya think so eh. This is a Master Class in what the BHS needs to do to survive. For 83 years Barbershop has been an acquired taste and fewer and fewer have acquired it. BHS membership is less than half what it was in 1965. If that decline is to turn around think MASS APPEAL or get ready for the final curtain. Ring on, Masters!
