Williams has received a record 18 Brit Awards, winning Best British Male Artist four times, Outstanding Contribution to Music twice, an Icon Award for his lasting impact on British culture, eight German ECHO Awards, and three MTV European Music Awards. In 2004, he was inducted into the UK Music Hall of Fame after being voted the Greatest Artist of the 1990s. According to the British Phonographic Industry (BPI), he has been certified for 20.2 million albums and 8.66 million singles in the UK as a solo artist. Five of his albums have also topped the Australian albums chart, and has sold 75 million records worldwide, making him one of the best-selling music artists of all time. He also topped the 2000–2010 UK airplay chart. His three concerts at Knebworth in 2003 drew over 375,000 people, the UK's biggest music event to that point. In 2014, he was awarded the freedom of his hometown of Stoke-on-Trent and had a tourist trail created and streets named in his honour. Williams' thirteenth album, XXV was released on 9 September 2022.
After 15 years, Williams rejoined Take That in 2010 to co-write and perform lead vocals on their album Progress, which became the second-fastest-selling album in UK chart history and the fastest-selling record of the century at the time. The subsequent stadium tour, which featured seven songs from Williams' solo career, became the biggest-selling concert in UK history when it sold 1.34 million tickets in less than 24 hours. In 2011, Take That frontman Gary Barlow confirmed that Williams had left the band for a second time to focus on his solo career, although he stated that the departure was amicable and that Williams was welcome to rejoin Take That in the future. Williams has since performed with Take That on three separate television appearances, and collaborated with Barlow on a number of projects such as the West End musical The Band.
03 Happy Song
Robbie Williams Lyrics

And salsa from Sainsbury's
'Cause this is a Happy Song
Play on my pink flute
But make it through Beirut
'Cause this is a happy song
You need a mood maker
I know it's going too fast
Your sister your brother
His mistress your lover
Is getting on with it
[Chorus:]
Yeah ( debonair )
I'm feeling so debonair ('cause I care )
Send you my love 'cause I care (it's a love song )
This is a love song
We bring news from Jamaica
Goose step through Gangland
And drive Chitty Ban Bang
'Cause this is a happy song
Bosnians and Kurds
Back with some big bird
Who's singing a happy song
Fly in the sunshine
Get there at your own time
You tell us if I'm in Hong Kong
Your sister your brother
His mistress your lover
Just singing a happy song
[Chorus :]
Happy Song
Do do do do do do do
Do do do do do do do
Do do do do do do do
Do do do do do do do
Yeah (debonair)
I'm feeling so debonair (in the air)
Everything's up in the air (from Jamaica)
Tease me from bedtime
We bring news from Jamaica
[Chorus :]
This is a happy song
The lyrics to Robbie Williams's song "Happy Song" are filled with playful and nonsensical phrases, creating an overall silly and carefree vibe to the lyrics. The opening lyrics suggest that everyone should make babies and salsa from Sainsbury's, a British supermarket. The tone seems to be encouraging people to let go of their inhibitions and just indulge in simple pleasures that bring happiness. The mention of playing the pink flute through Beirut, a city that was left devastated by war, adds an element of humor to the lyrics by juxtaposing two very different things together.
The mention of a tailor and the phrase "mood maker" suggests that the song is about looking good and feeling good, respectively. The chorus reinforces this idea with the lyrics "feeling so debonair" and "send you my love 'cause I care," indicating that the song is urging people to take care of themselves and each other. The line "We bring news from Jamaica" seems out of place and random, but adds to the overall feeling of frivolity and disregard for traditional song structure. The idea of driving "Chitty Ban Bang" is another playful reference, this time to the famous car from the children's movie "Chitty Chitty Bang Bang."
Overall, "Happy Song" is a lighthearted and whimsical tune that encourages listeners to forget their troubles and just be happy. It doesn't take itself too seriously, instead opting for playful and sometimes nonsensical lyrics that emphasize the idea of living in the moment and enjoying the simple things in life.
