Williams has received a record 18 Brit Awards, winning Best British Male Artist four times, Outstanding Contribution to Music twice, an Icon Award for his lasting impact on British culture, eight German ECHO Awards, and three MTV European Music Awards. In 2004, he was inducted into the UK Music Hall of Fame after being voted the Greatest Artist of the 1990s. According to the British Phonographic Industry (BPI), he has been certified for 20.2 million albums and 8.66 million singles in the UK as a solo artist. Five of his albums have also topped the Australian albums chart, and has sold 75 million records worldwide, making him one of the best-selling music artists of all time. He also topped the 2000–2010 UK airplay chart. His three concerts at Knebworth in 2003 drew over 375,000 people, the UK's biggest music event to that point. In 2014, he was awarded the freedom of his hometown of Stoke-on-Trent and had a tourist trail created and streets named in his honour. Williams' thirteenth album, XXV was released on 9 September 2022.
After 15 years, Williams rejoined Take That in 2010 to co-write and perform lead vocals on their album Progress, which became the second-fastest-selling album in UK chart history and the fastest-selling record of the century at the time. The subsequent stadium tour, which featured seven songs from Williams' solo career, became the biggest-selling concert in UK history when it sold 1.34 million tickets in less than 24 hours. In 2011, Take That frontman Gary Barlow confirmed that Williams had left the band for a second time to focus on his solo career, although he stated that the departure was amicable and that Williams was welcome to rejoin Take That in the future. Williams has since performed with Take That on three separate television appearances, and collaborated with Barlow on a number of projects such as the West End musical The Band.

Got a brand new needle for you
You said weed was evil
So you're smoking in the lobby in the hotel foyer
It was'nt even noon yet
We didn't want to be too soon yet
But when the sun goes down through the after glow
The night is yours, but your mother should never know
Auf Wiedersehen Berliner star
You rock like a bastard, plastered
You should have seen her
Everything we did was wunderbar
'Till God came between us and you fell for Jesus
Eva tore my heart out
I got wasted in action (anyone)
Does she know, that I am a sucker for
Instant satisfaction
There's nothing more obscene now, seen where I've been
But you learn you know, to see the after glow
You've got to burn to grow, but your
Mother should never know
Auf wiedersehen Berliner star
You rock like a bastard, plastered
You should have seen her
Everything we did was wunderbar
'Till God came between us and you fell for Jesus
You were everything, everything
Everything to me
You were everything, everything
Everything to me
You were everything, everything
Everything to me
You were everything, everything
Everything to me
Auf wiedersehen Berliner star
You rock like a baster, plastered
You should have seen her
Everything we did was wunderbar
'Till God came between us and you fell for Jesus
Everything, everything
Everything to me
You were everything, everything
Everything to me
Everything we did was wunderbar
'Till God came between us and you fell for Jesus
You were everything, thing, thing
Everything to me
I still love you, I do
Everything, everything, everything now
The song "Berliner Star" by Robbie Williams is a tribute to someone who was close to him, named Eva Freedle, whom he had a past romantic relationship with. The lyric "Dear Eva Freedle, got a brand new needle for you" suggests that Eva is likely a drug user or formerly was, and that Robbie has supplied her with a new needle for whatever purpose. Eva also apparently doesn't approve of weed, but is smoking it nonetheless. The lyrics then go on to describe how their relationship may have been rocky or up and down, with "everything we did was wunderbar", but "when the sun goes down through the afterglow, the night is yours but your mother should never know". This line suggests that they may have had secret rendezvous, and that this relationship was not one that could be made public, especially to Eva's mother.
The song's title refers to Eva as the "Berliner Star", indicating that she's a potential celebrity or popular figure in Berlin, or someone who is admired or sought after in some way. The phrase "Auf Wiedersehen" in the chorus means "Goodbye" in German, which could imply that their relationship is over or nearing its end. The line "you rock like a bastard, plastered" suggests that Eva was someone who knew how to party and have a good time, and that they both may have been caught up in drugs and alcohol. The song's closing lines, "you were everything to me, I still love you, I do" suggest that despite the hardships of their relationship, Robbie still holds Eva dear in his heart.
