Williams has received a record 18 Brit Awards, winning Best British Male Artist four times, Outstanding Contribution to Music twice, an Icon Award for his lasting impact on British culture, eight German ECHO Awards, and three MTV European Music Awards. In 2004, he was inducted into the UK Music Hall of Fame after being voted the Greatest Artist of the 1990s. According to the British Phonographic Industry (BPI), he has been certified for 20.2 million albums and 8.66 million singles in the UK as a solo artist. Five of his albums have also topped the Australian albums chart, and has sold 75 million records worldwide, making him one of the best-selling music artists of all time. He also topped the 2000β2010 UK airplay chart. His three concerts at Knebworth in 2003 drew over 375,000 people, the UK's biggest music event to that point. In 2014, he was awarded the freedom of his hometown of Stoke-on-Trent and had a tourist trail created and streets named in his honour. Williams' thirteenth album, XXV was released on 9 September 2022.
After 15 years, Williams rejoined Take That in 2010 to co-write and perform lead vocals on their album Progress, which became the second-fastest-selling album in UK chart history and the fastest-selling record of the century at the time. The subsequent stadium tour, which featured seven songs from Williams' solo career, became the biggest-selling concert in UK history when it sold 1.34 million tickets in less than 24 hours. In 2011, Take That frontman Gary Barlow confirmed that Williams had left the band for a second time to focus on his solo career, although he stated that the departure was amicable and that Williams was welcome to rejoin Take That in the future. Williams has since performed with Take That on three separate television appearances, and collaborated with Barlow on a number of projects such as the West End musical The Band.
Into The Silence

You made me be so cruel to myself
Love of power of the power of love
You need him
When karma reaches you I wanna be there to catch that fall
Get down beside you and watch you crawl
How does it feel to be alone?
When you fall apart again
It won't break my heart
If I told you my secrets
You'd never look at me the same way
Well, I guess you're right, some things I can't change
When karma reaches you I wanna be there just in case it needs help
I won't fall apart again
I don't test my heart
Is there any wonder
With the sadness inside us
Was it sent for the hunger?
Was it meant to divide us?
Into the silence
Into the silence
Into the silence
Into the silence
When karma reaches you I wanna be there to catch that fall
Get down beside you and watch you crawl
How does it feel to be alone?
Down there
Don't won't fall apart again
Don't test my heart
Is there any wonder
With the sadness inside us
Was it sent for the hunger?
Was it meant to divide us?
Oh, oh, oh
Into the silence
Into the silence
Into the silence
Into the silence
The lyrics of Robbie Williams's "Into The Silence" seem to be addressing someone who has wronged him in the past. He declares that he wants to be there when karma eventually catches up to the person, just in case he needs to protect himself from their actions. The singer then reflects on how the person's previous treatment of him had made him cruel to himself, leading to a state of pain and disillusionment. However, he acknowledges his own power of love, which ultimately helps him rise above the hurtful actions of others. The singer then asks the person how it feels to be alone, seemingly implying that they will eventually succumb to the loneliness that their actions towards him have ultimately caused.
The song then has a short instrumental interlude before the singer declares that he won't fall apart again and that his heart won't be broken. He then muses that if he were to share his secrets with the person who wronged him, they would never look at him in the same way. However, he's aware that some things cannot be changed, no matter how hard one might try. The singer then seems to question whether someone else should take on the responsibility of singing for the hungry and goes on to repeat the phrase "Into the silence" several times, suggesting a journey or transition into a space that is devoid of sound and perhaps where reflection, acceptance, and healing can occur.
Overall, "Into The Silence" seems to be about the process of dealing with hurt from someone's words or actions and coming out stronger on the other side. The song suggests that while the singer was hurt, he was able to cultivate resilience through the power of love, acceptance of the things he cannot change, and acknowledging the presence of karma.
