Williams has received a record 18 Brit Awards, winning Best British Male Artist four times, Outstanding Contribution to Music twice, an Icon Award for his lasting impact on British culture, eight German ECHO Awards, and three MTV European Music Awards. In 2004, he was inducted into the UK Music Hall of Fame after being voted the Greatest Artist of the 1990s. According to the British Phonographic Industry (BPI), he has been certified for 20.2 million albums and 8.66 million singles in the UK as a solo artist. Five of his albums have also topped the Australian albums chart, and has sold 75 million records worldwide, making him one of the best-selling music artists of all time. He also topped the 2000–2010 UK airplay chart. His three concerts at Knebworth in 2003 drew over 375,000 people, the UK's biggest music event to that point. In 2014, he was awarded the freedom of his hometown of Stoke-on-Trent and had a tourist trail created and streets named in his honour. Williams' thirteenth album, XXV was released on 9 September 2022.
After 15 years, Williams rejoined Take That in 2010 to co-write and perform lead vocals on their album Progress, which became the second-fastest-selling album in UK chart history and the fastest-selling record of the century at the time. The subsequent stadium tour, which featured seven songs from Williams' solo career, became the biggest-selling concert in UK history when it sold 1.34 million tickets in less than 24 hours. In 2011, Take That frontman Gary Barlow confirmed that Williams had left the band for a second time to focus on his solo career, although he stated that the departure was amicable and that Williams was welcome to rejoin Take That in the future. Williams has since performed with Take That on three separate television appearances, and collaborated with Barlow on a number of projects such as the West End musical The Band.

I got a pocket in my soul,
Where a little rock a little roll assimilate
And I don't care what you think you know
'Bout who I am and how it goes
I made it easy to be me so yeah,
It's easy to be me
And it's why I say
I know you can't stand me
'Cause I make you so angry
More and more each day hey hey hey
The way you don't love me
Kind of makes you look ugly
And the words you say hey hey hey
Come up and see me, I kind of like the abuse hey hey hey
There's no room in my bed but while you're here
Just bow your head and you can shine my shoes
Shine my shoes
Get outta my lane boy, you're not in my league
Some are born to thrive and some to underachieve
Here's something that'll make you sick
I'm as happy as a pig in sh-
I've been amused, I've been about, I've been amazed, I've been betrayed
That's why I say
I know you can't stand me
'Cause I make you so angry
More and more each day hey hey hey
The way you don't love me kind of makes you look ugly
And the words you say hey hey hey
Come up and see me, oh oh oh,
If you can take the abuse hey hey hey
There's no room in my bed but while you're here
Just lend a hand and you can shine my shoes
Shine my shoes
Kneel down boy
I know you can't stand me
I make you so angry more and more each day hey hey hey
The way you don't love me kind of makes you look ugly
Every words you say hey hey hey
Come up and see me, oh oh oh,
I kinda like the abuse hey hey hey
There's no room in my bed but while you're here
Then bow your head and you can shine my shoes
Shine my shoes
Shine my shoes
Until I see my face
The song "Shine My Shoes" by Robbie Williams is a confident and sassy anthem that encourages listeners to embrace their true selves and not care about what others think. The opening lines, "Another dawn, another day, another dollar to be made," suggest that the singer is a hard worker who is not afraid to grind and hustle to achieve success. They then describe a "pocket in [their] soul," where rock and roll blend together, showing that they are a unique individual with a varied range of interests.
The chorus is where the singer truly shines, proclaiming that they know they are disliked by some and reveling in it. The lines "I know you can't stand me/Cause I make you so angry/More and more each day" show that the singer is aware of the negative energy around them but refuses to let it affect them. They even suggest that the listener shines their shoes as an act of submission and respect.
The second verse continues this theme of unapologetic self-love and even suggests that those who criticize the singer are simply jealous. The line "some are born to thrive and some to underachieve" shows that the singer believes they are meant to succeed and excel in life. Overall, "Shine My Shoes" is an upbeat and catchy song that encourages the listener to embrace their individuality and not let others bring them down.

Robbie is only for those who have the ability to recognize a certain level of quality. Don't count on mass approval because the sheep are blissfully ignorant. Under the influence of really bad performers promoted by the entertainment industry.
