Williams has received a record 18 Brit Awards, winning Best British Male Artist four times, Outstanding Contribution to Music twice, an Icon Award for his lasting impact on British culture, eight German ECHO Awards, and three MTV European Music Awards. In 2004, he was inducted into the UK Music Hall of Fame after being voted the Greatest Artist of the 1990s. According to the British Phonographic Industry (BPI), he has been certified for 20.2 million albums and 8.66 million singles in the UK as a solo artist. Five of his albums have also topped the Australian albums chart, and has sold 75 million records worldwide, making him one of the best-selling music artists of all time. He also topped the 2000–2010 UK airplay chart. His three concerts at Knebworth in 2003 drew over 375,000 people, the UK's biggest music event to that point. In 2014, he was awarded the freedom of his hometown of Stoke-on-Trent and had a tourist trail created and streets named in his honour. Williams' thirteenth album, XXV was released on 9 September 2022.
After 15 years, Williams rejoined Take That in 2010 to co-write and perform lead vocals on their album Progress, which became the second-fastest-selling album in UK chart history and the fastest-selling record of the century at the time. The subsequent stadium tour, which featured seven songs from Williams' solo career, became the biggest-selling concert in UK history when it sold 1.34 million tickets in less than 24 hours. In 2011, Take That frontman Gary Barlow confirmed that Williams had left the band for a second time to focus on his solo career, although he stated that the departure was amicable and that Williams was welcome to rejoin Take That in the future. Williams has since performed with Take That on three separate television appearances, and collaborated with Barlow on a number of projects such as the West End musical The Band.

All I be needing is
Tobacco and draw
Better let me into your
Country though
Then I can show you what
You're missing me for
I'm a night kind of animal
What you testing me for
I was scared so I ate 'em all
They tasted good
But they make me look old
And ooh, you teach
Like a toothache,
I'm not here for my sake,
How long will this mickey take
And ooh,
There's heavy entertainment,
Out here on the pavement
The men about you gotta
Get away
Do, ooh ooh, ooh, ooh ya mind,
If I, I, I, I, I, I touch ya?
Do, ooh ooh, ooh, ooh ya mind,
If I, I, I, I, I, I touch ya?
I'll think you're famous
If that's what ya want
But you can pick your
Own pulpit,
You must fill your own fonts
Bring some wine
And some sensodyne
Then you can be my
Favorite dodo
Anyone fancy Monaco
I'm a placebo they're
Chasing me fool
Don't be scared
You could eat 'em all
They taste good
But they make you look old
Ooh, you sick little cup cake,
You could be a keepsake,
You jukebox to generate
And ooh,
I'm heavy entertainment
In need of containment
I'm mad about you
Gotta get away
Do, ooh ooh, ooh, ooh ya mind,
If I, I, I, I, I, I touch ya?
Do, ooh ooh, ooh, ooh ya mind,
If I, I, I, I, I, I touch ya?
Anyone fancy Monaco?
Go get a portable
Recliner bin
Must take a photo for sure
Got our our problems and
A real long name
And she gets high on
Rollin' roll-ups
And ooh, you teach
Like a toothache,
I'm not here for my sake,
How long will this mickey take
And ooh,
There's heavy entertainment,
Out here on the pavement
The men about you gotta
Get away
Do, ooh ooh, ooh, ooh ya mind,
If I, I, I, I, I, I touch ya?
Do, ooh ooh, ooh, ooh ya mind,
If I, I, I, I, I, I touch ya?
Do, ooh ooh, ooh, ooh ya mind,
If I, I, I, I, I, I touch ya?
Do, ooh ooh, ooh, ooh ya mind,
If I, I, I, I, I, I touch ya?
In the song "You" by Robbie Williams, the artist uses metaphors and playful language to convey his desire for someone. He mentions needing "tobacco and draw" which could represent his addictive nature and desire for substance. He then asks to be let into the other person's "country" so he can show them what they're "missing me for." This could refer to his desire for intimacy and connection with the other person.
Williams describes himself as a "night kind of animal" and mentions being "scared" so he "ate 'em all" which could represent his struggle with anxiety and using food as a coping mechanism. He also mentions the other person teaching "like a toothache" which could represent the pain and discomfort that comes with growth and learning.
As the song progresses, Williams continues to use playful language and metaphor to convey his interest in the other person. He mentions wine and sensodyne, hinting at the possibility of oral intimacy. He also mentions being a "placebo" that others are chasing after, which could represent his desire for validation and attention.
Throughout the song, Williams uses his lyricism to paint a picture of desire, intimacy, and connection. The metaphors he uses add depth and creativity to the lyrics, making the song more interesting and engaging.

If a man could be his own fantasy then to only breed in captivity
Is pointless
I've been doing what I like,
When I like, how I like it's joyless
Only you know me
What a waste of war this peace, baby steps and two more sleeps
Till I get to say sorry
I get hysterical, historicals, of love it's just chemical
Give us something to stop me
Only you
Know me
Since you went away, my heart breaks everyday
You don't know 'cause you're not there
You simply found the words to make all modern feelings fade away
Only you
Know me
I'm doin' fine and the sun often shines
What are you thinking?
I done bruised up my mind with this thunderbird wine
Baby, I'm drinking
Only you
Know me
Since you went away, my heart breaks everyday
You don't know 'cause you're not there
You simply found the words to make all modern feelings fade away
Only you
Know me
Only you
Know me
Since you went away, my heart breaks everyday
And you don't know 'cause you're not there
You simply found the words to make all modern feelings fade away
Only you
Know me
Only you
Know me
Only you
Only you
Only you
Know me (Only you know me)
All the way
Waitin' for you,
All my life
Waitin' for you
All my life
Waitin' for you

His most underrated song
@renlentlesstourist7574
+Tear84 Candy was the fucking worst song he ever done, and i think probably the worst song so far this centuary. I'm 30 and spent my teen years listening to Robbie and still listen to him now, but that candy song.... what utter rubbish.
@terezavztekla3292
+The hard Tourist Come on, Candy is still a at least a level higher than most pop song. However compared to Robbie´s standart, it really is a fall. But hey, he ain´t defined by one song.
@irialefe13
I think his most underrated song is Revolution from escapology, this song was a single after all ...
@user-jj1mr3wv3j
Renlentless Tourist candy was done to get no 1 in the charts and airplay which it regularly does to this day but this song which is beautiful gets no plays
@IncomitatusExcelsior
This song gets some play... I probably heard it a hundred times on the radio at work over the last couple years before I learned it was Robbie Williams! And I like Candy... it's not his usually fare, but it sooooo reminds me of someone I know... which probably isn't a good thing to say about her...
