Roman Rene Ramirez was born in Fremont, California on June 11, 1988, and he began playing guitar at the age of 11. In his teens, Ramirez began working with local bands, and Sublime became one of Ramirez's favorite acts (as well as Muse, Nirvana, Led Zeppelin, Jimi Hendrix, and the Bad Brains). Ramirez was well familiar with Sublime's body of work when a friend who worked at a recording studio introduced him to Eric Wilson, the group's bassist. Wilson invited Ramirez to jam with him on some Sublime songs, and then organized another session with Ramirez and Wilson joined by drummer Bud Gaugh. Wilson and Gaugh were impressed enough with Ramirez that they invited him to join them in a new edition of the group, and Sublime with Rome made its debut in 2009 at Cypress Hill's Smokeout Festival in San Bernardino, California.
Ramirez was soon touring steadily with Sublime with Rome, and in 2010 he co-wrote and sang the song "Lay Me Down" with the band the Dirty Heads, which rose to the top of Billboard's Alternative Songs chart. In 2011, Sublime with Rome headed into the studio and released an album of new material, Yours Truly, which was released by indie punk label Fueled by Ramen; later that same year, Bud Gaugh retired from the group, with Josh Freese signing on as the trio's new drummer. The following year, Rome released his first solo EP, Dedication (also released by Fueled by Ramen), and he also guested on the 2012 album by the Dirty Heads, Cabin by the Sea. The year 2013 proved to be a busy one for Ramirez; he contributed songwriting and guitar work on Selena Gomez's album Stars Dance, collaborated with Enrique Iglesias on a pair of singles, and dropped the first single from his next solo album, a tune called "Terrorista." ~ Mark Deming

If I had my way, I would get you out my mind
It seems every where I look and turn, I'm running into this girl
No matter how far I fly, there's no escaping her
I've had enough, every damn song that comes on
Had enough, of pawning of that necklace that you wore
Had enough, bout to let my shit and hit the road
Cause I think of you, when that song comes on
I still think of you, when I first wake up
I still think of you, in the worst kinds of ways
And I wouldn't really mind, if I didn't today
Wooah, you know I hate you
Wooah, cause I still love you
Millions of girls all over the world and I'm hung up on this one
Wooah, yeah and I'm hung up on this one
If I had my way, I'd erase you from the past
If I had my way, you know I'd put you last
Never thought that we'd be here, acting like we don't give a damn
Everything that we've been through, pretending like I wasn't your man
Ive had enough, hearing about you dating dudes
Had enough, of running into your whole crew
Had enough, you got me sing singing the blues
Had enough of what you put me through
Cause I think of you, when that song comes on
I still think of you, when I first wake up
I still think of you, in the worst kinds of ways
And I wouldn't really mind, if I didn't today
Wooah, you know I hate you
Wooah, cause I still love you
Millions of girls all over the world and I'm hung up on this one
Wooah, yeah and I'm hung up on this one
We are, always afraid to, lose our creation, for me and for you
Wooah, you know I hate you
Wooah, cause I still love you
Millions of girls all over the world and I'm hung up on this one
Wooah, yeah and I'm hung up on this one
Wooah, yeah and I'm hung up on this one
Millions of girls all over the world and I'm hung up on this one
I'm hung up on this one, yeah
The song “Hung Up” by Rome Ramirez is about a person who is still hung up on their ex-lover despite trying to move on. The singer wishes they could forget their ex and start over, but every time they hear a song or see something that reminds them of their past, they are drawn back into those feelings. The singer is frustrated and angry that they are still thinking about their ex-lover, even though they feel like they should be over them by now. The song also touches on the idea of wanting to erase the person from their past, but not being able to because of the memories that they shared.
The chorus of the song expresses the conflicting feelings of anger and love that the singer has for their ex. They hate the power that their ex still has over them, but at the same time, they can't help but still love them. The bridge of the song suggests that both parties are afraid of losing what they have created together, but it's unclear whether the singer believes that there is still a chance for them to get back together or if they are just reflecting on their past relationship.
One interesting aspect of the song is that the hook is a nod to Madonna's 2005 hit "Hung Up", which featured a sample of ABBA's "Gimme! Gimme! Gimme! (A Man After Midnight)".

This is so awesome!!! I wish people learn what real talent is.
Dr Betelgeuse
Everyone here busting on him are blind to the talent that he DOES have. Sure hes not Bradley but he still has talent and energy. Besides this isn't a sublime track so his roll with sublime with Rome is irrelevant for this performance.
Step back and appreciate the music. I doubt Bradley would want his fans stuck with ugly thoughts some of you have..
