Aldrich's albums are usually pretty , easy listening, but if you haven't heard one, it's worth spending up to three bucks to own your own little bit of authentic 60s experience. Not the Haight-Ashbury-Woodstock-Jimi Hendrix kind of experience, but the experience most people had. What he produced entertained millions, although obviously not cutting edge music. Put on Ronnie's take on "Music to Watch Girls By" and you can imagine yourself strolling down the aisle at the A&P or shopping for school clothes at J.C. Penney. Or riding an elevator to your dad's office. Or waiting at the Omaha Airport. Who needs Eastern philosophy to get blissed out?
Born at Erith , Kent, U K, 15th February 1916, educated in Folkestone and proved musically talented as he learnt to play the piano aged only 3 !!! After his musical career he retired to the Isle of Man, where he died, from prostate cancer, aged 77, on the 30th September 1993.

I'll tell you no lie
How deep is the ocean?
How high is the sky?
How many times a day do I think of you?
How many roses are sprinkled with dew?
To be where you are?
How far is the journey
From here to a star?
And if I ever lost you, how much would I cry?
How deep is the ocean?
How high is the sky?
How far would I travel
To be where you are?
How far is the journey
From here to a star?
And if I ever lost you, how much would I cry?
How deep is the ocean?
How high is the sky?
How high is the sky?
In Ronnie Aldrich's "How Deep Is the Ocean," the singer is in love and trying to convey just how much they love their significant other. They begin by asking a series of hypothetical questions that express the depth and vastness of their affection. They ask how deep the ocean is and how high the sky is, implying that their love is just as boundless as these natural wonders. They then ask how often they think of their loved one and how many roses are sprinkled with dew, emphasizing that their thoughts are constantly consumed with their significant other. The singer also expresses a willingness to travel far and wide to be with their loved one, even if it means traveling to the stars. Finally, they ponder how much they would cry if they ever lost their loved one, further emphasizing the depth of their love.
The song is a classic love ballad that speaks to the timeless qualities of love and the utter devotion that it inspires. The lyrics are simple and straightforward, yet the questions posed are thought-provoking and allow the listener to reflect on the depth of their own love. The melody is soothing and melodious, adding to the overall sentimentality of the song. Overall, "How Deep Is the Ocean" is a beautiful expression of love that stands the test of time.
