Met Een Roos In Je Blonde Haren
Ronnie Tober Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
'T Leven heeft me heel veel moois gegeven
En ′t middelpunt was jij
Met een roos in je blonde haren
Zul je altijd in mijn gedachten zijn
Boven ons was de hemel blauw
Die mooie dagen met jou
Met een roos in je blonde haren
Zul je altijd in mijn gedachten zijn
Boven ons was de hemel blauw
Die mooie dagen met jou
The lyrics to Ronnie Tober's song Met Een Roos In Je Blonde Haren is a love song where the singer is reminiscing about a past relationship. The opening line, "Met een roos in je blonde haren" translates to "With a rose in your blonde hair." This line sets the tone for the entire song as it suggests a romantic gesture from the singer to his beloved. He then says, "Zul je altijd in mijn gedachten zijn" which translates to "You will always be in my thoughts." This line reveals that the relationship may have ended, but the memories and the love will always stay with him.
The next lines, "Boven ons was de hemel blauw, Die mooie dagen met jou" which translates to "Above us, the sky was blue, those beautiful days with you", provide a vivid description of a past moment when they were together, perhaps on a sunny day when everything felt perfect. The second verse expresses the singer's longing to be with his beloved again, saying "Liever was ik hier bij jou gebleven" which means "I'd rather have stayed here with you" and "Onze zomer ging te snel voorbij" which translates to "Our summer went too quickly."
The chorus repeats the opening lines, implying that the singer's love for his beloved remains unchanged despite the passing of time. The final line, "Met een roos in je blonde haren, Zul je altijd in mijn gedachten zijn/Boven ons was de hemel blauw, Die mooie dagen met jou" repeats the opening lines, ending the song on a nostalgic note, where the memory of their love is forever cherished.
