The lyrics of Rosario's song "Lucía" are a heartfelt tribute to a lost love. The first verse sets the tone for the entire song, as the singer sends out a song that he has composed for his beloved Lucía. He declares that this song is the most beautiful love story he ever had and ever will have. The lyrics express an unfulfilled longing that spans the years and tries to reach out to someone long gone.
The second verse of the song talks about the singer's bittersweet memories of the past, all of which revolve around Lucía. His regretful admission that there is nothing more beautiful than what he never had and nothing more beloved than what he lost, adds poignancy to the lyrics. He searches for Lucía in the cold, lonely sands of the beach, hoping to find solace in the memories of the past.
The final verse is an acknowledgement of how much he learned from his love for and loss of Lucía. She taught him about love and he cherishes that knowledge deeply. Her memory remains with him, sweetening his days while also causing him pain. He ends the song by saying that after her, he has never loved, indicating that she will always hold the most significant place in his heart and his life.
