Lowe was born into a very musical family in Devon in 1990. She started playing music from a very young age (5) and this continued throughout her education in to what is now her career. Training in jazz, Rosie studied music throughout her education where she moved to London in 2007 to complete a Popular Music degree at Goldsmiths University.
After leaving Goldsmiths University, Rosie signed to Domino publishing, wrote and released her first EP entitled "Right Thing" (via 37 Adventures) in December 2013. She co-produced this with producers Dave Okumu and Kwes.
After a period away from the limelight, in November 2018 she released the single "The Light" and announced her forthcoming second album YU and some 2019 tour dates.
Critics describe Lowe's music as "Effortless R&B beats, experimental electronica, minimalism, the art of understatement."
Towards the end of 2014, she released her 1st single "Water Came Down", and 2nd single "How'd You Like It" from her debut album Control which was released in 2016.

Rosie Lowe Lyrics

Don't leave me hanging out
Can I ask you to
Not ask me questions
Give me a way
I won't need much
I wanted you back when
Come in here
Leave me with my insights
Give me my dignity
Darling, be weird
I don't run either way
I wouldn't risk
All your darkness
Please
Rosie Lowe's song "Rosie Lowe" is a poignant reflection on a crumbling relationship. The opening line "Rosie, my dear, don't leave me hanging out" sets the tone for the song as a plea to save the relationship. The singer is asking Rosie to give space, not to ask questions and just let things be. This can be interpreted as the singer feeling suffocated in the relationship, wanting to be left alone to figure things out.
As the song progresses, the singer asks for a way out. They don't need much, just a chance to breathe and be free. The line "I wanted you back when it was an issue" suggests that perhaps the singer was more invested in the relationship when there were problems to solve. Now that things have settled down, the singer feels trapped and wants out.
The final verse of the song is a poignant plea to Rosie to embrace her weirdness, to not be afraid of her darkness. The singer acknowledges that they wouldn't risk hurting Rosie or losing her, but that they need to be true to themselves. Ultimately, the message of the song is one of bravery and self-discovery. Sometimes, you need to let go of what you love in order to find yourself.

[Intro]
Uh, mmm
[Verse 1]
It's in the morning that I need your love
And in the evening when the sun goes down
To the early morning
You keep me hanging on, ooh
And it’s as simple as the sight of you
That gets me going and it soothes me through
To the early morning (Hey)
You keep me holding on
[Pre-Chorus]
And it's the very thought of you that gets me through the night
And the knowing that I'll get it once more
It’s the memory of the touch that keeps me from the light
And the scent of you on my pillow
[Chorus: Rosie Lowe, The P Funk Choir & Both]
('Til the early morning)
Baby, the love that you give
Takes me to Heaven, to paradise
(Birdsong)
Every note that you sing
Tells me I'm doing something right
(Birdsong)
Never wanted to please somebody
So much in my life
('Til the early morning)
In the early morning
I'm waiting to hear your birdsong
[Verse 2]
Like flowers blooming in the morning in sun
You do the night shift, then you leave me
Drunk on your loving, mmm
Like a rose to my thorn (Ooh, ooh)
[Pre-Chorus]
And it's the very thought of you that gets me through the night
And the knowing that I'll get it once more
It's the memory of the touch that keeps me from the light
Making love to cherry stone
[Chorus: Rosie Lowe, The P Funk Choir & Both]
(’Til the early morning)
Baby, the love that you give
Takes me to Heaven, to paradise
(Birdsong)
Every note that you sing
Tells me I’m doing something right
(Birdsong)
Never wanted to please somebody
So much in my life
('Til the early morning)

I love this song but I just noticed she repeats "Making love to Cherry Stone" for both parts instead of singing "and the scent of you on my pillow" :0 still great though!
