The band dissolved between 2015 and 2018, partly due to creative differences and partly due to lead singer Delgado serving jail time for smuggling marijuana. In 2018, they started playing shows again, first only at the Sound And Fury and This Is Hardcore festivals, then moving on to full-blown tours again.
Their fourth full-length album, "Ronin", is scheduled to release in April 2020 via Pure Noise Records.

Rotting Out Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
Poke your nose in my events like you sat front row
Im poking holes in your story, The fact is you don't fucking know
Where i'm from you've tried to glorify
In my slums i'm failure personified
Fuck you and fuck your friends too
And fuck everything you thought you knew
About me and what I've seen and everything I've been through
Suburban prodigy but you talk about hardknocks
What do you know about long nights in a small box?
Who the fuck is you?
So when I see you, you know you're not like me
When I confront you, you'll have forgotten how to speak
Coward
In these lyrics, Rotting Out expresses a sense of frustration and disdain towards those who judge and try to belittle them. The singer starts by inviting others to cast their stones, metaphorically representing their criticism and judgment. They sarcastically reference how these people are constantly prying into their life events, as if they were sitting in the front row. The singer responds by pointing out the hypocrisy in these individuals, stating that they don't actually know the truth about their life and experiences.
The next paragraph highlights the singer's background, specifically their origins in a disadvantaged neighborhood. They claim that these judgmental individuals have attempted to romanticize or glorify where they come from, but in reality, they see themselves as a representation of failure. The frustration and anger intensify as the singer directly addresses those who judge them and their friends, expressing a strong desire to refute the assumptions and perceptions that have been unfairly formed.
In the third paragraph, the singer challenges the authenticity of those who claim to understand hardship by calling them a "suburban prodigy." The contrast is drawn between their own experiences, which likely involve real struggles and difficult circumstances, and the privileged backgrounds of their critics. The singer questions the credibility of these individuals when it comes to enduring long nights confined in a small space, indicating that they know nothing about true hardship.
The final line of the lyrics is a straightforward insult, labelling the person they are addressing as a "coward." This suggests that the singer believes this individual lacks the courage and authenticity to back up their claims and judgments.
Overall, these lyrics convey a sense of frustration, anger, and defiance towards those who judge and criticize the singer, while also asserting their own authenticity and dismissing the credibility of their detractors.
