There wont be a better. This man had the best hands in guitar history. Feeling, technique and improvisation. He is on his own.

Yet those tossers at Rolling Stone dont even have him in the top 100. They are clueless. And just pander to the usual names. You can bet your life every time they do a poll.

Is the top 3 never ever changes. Roy could play circles around all of them.

So glad I got see Roy four times, in small clubs, of course, as that was pretty much all he did. My bro and I had plans to see him at a strip mall dive called Tiger pub we heard the announcement on the car radio that the show was cancelled due to his death...quite a shock...then again given his history, not surprising. You can hear the pain in the haunted beauty of his playing. Roy Buchanan: a true master of the electric guitar and blues-rock genre.

Great choice of notes --- not just running up and down the fretboard with nothing to say. Roy's guitar TALKS to you ------ love it.

I am grateful to have had the opportunity to witness Roy Buchanan play Green Onions on Feb. 26, 1977 in Columbus, Ohio (OSU Campus) at 8pm . I still have the ticket stub showing the price of a whopping $4. Buchanan is and has always been one of my favorites.

Love to hear this. I saw Roy only 3 times. All of them great shows.
