Overdose
Royal -T Lyrics

A doida desvairada
Agora virou ministra
In these lyrics, Royal-T describes a bizarre and trippy experience he had during carnival. He starts by saying that he was just hanging around, not doing much, when suddenly he got hungry and decided to climb a guava tree. It seems to be nighttime, as he mentions that the sky was dark and there was no light. As he is up on the tree, a crazy person approaches him and starts calling him Jesus.
He then expresses his surprise and confusion at the situation, thinking it was a joke or something silly. However, things take an even stranger turn as he eats so many guavas that he almost gets sick. Meanwhile, the crazy person continues to stare at him while making the sign of the cross.
Royal-T then reflects on the intoxicating effects of these particularly good guavas. He emphasizes that this kind of guava can drive a person crazy, implying that it has some sort of hallucinogenic or mind-altering properties.
Despite this strange and potentially overwhelming trip, he refers to it as a wrong journey or a sinister wave. He describes the crazy person as being completely out of control, and to emphasize her madness, he says she has become a minister. This last line could be interpreted as a sarcastic statement, suggesting that someone so mentally unstable could somehow end up in a position of authority.
Overall, the lyrics of "Overdose" describe a surreal and disorienting experience during carnival, involving a guava tree, a person behaving strangely, and possibly psychedelic effects from consuming an excessive amount of guavas. The song highlights the unexpected and sometimes chaotic nature of carnival festivities.

Yes, I just checked the times of the greatest present sprinter, Black Caviar, on 1000m; she has never run under 55.4 sec, whereas Overdose easily ran under 55 secs... I know each turf is different, but it indicates they could have been great opponents. His Ascot 4th place last year is still something of a great achievement, having recovered from a hoof inflammation of which horses often die... His hoof is still very thin, therefore only very soft turf is suitable for him....pray for rain...

Overdose also recruited his name in one of our Hong Kong Races (most likely Hong Kong Sprint if my memory is correct), but he eventually wasn't selected into the final line-up. Besides, it is pretty rarely seen for those horses from central or eastern Europe to run in those major international events like this one.

Hi MrNative! He hasn't retired yet, his hoof problems have occured again and he had to be brought back from Dubai. I visited him last week and he is doing well he can start training again next week so if all goes well we might be able to see him back on the track in the fall. If you want more info on him check out our web site overdose online I have recently put up an interview with his owner also in english and new photos too. Thanks for watching my video!

Considering the voice audio too, this is a really great report, about Overdose and racing in general. It just describes perfectly what it was like - when all our hopes were built on those fragile legs... I might do an english transcript when I have the time. You can send me a request too, to push me a little about it... ;)
@eposz2
You may be right with BC's times. As regards his 2013 races, the plan is still to run him in 2013, so there is a chance even for Ascot depending on his form.
@eposz2
Very good insights. I think Overdose was mismanaged in many other aspects as well.. He could have achived much more.
@gaborkovari5093
Yes, he has retired in september 2013 with a big ceremony in Kincsem Park.
He's now a stud-horse on the way from Hungary to Germany

Legjobb volt😭❤

Not really. He was in Dubai from December till March 15, planned to run several sprints, but could not due to two tendon injuries. He returned to Hungary, now recovered but his preparation started almost from zero. I would be surprised if he could regain full race form and run this June in Ascot, but York in August is possible. There are only few Group 1 races on 5 furlongs (1006m), which is his best distance; 6 furlongs are too long for him. Paris in the autumn is also hopefully will be OK.

Overdose ran a cracking good race in defeat that day in the King's Stand.
