Stop 'em in they tracks when they see my face
Got a weakness for shiny thangs
Plus I could use a new place, sugar sugar
I'm seeking an arrangement
Take care of me and I'll be your entertainment
It's my calling long as you make sure both of us ballin'
You can be sure that your little mama all in
If I had a man of means, you the only one for me
I'll go wherever you take me
And I'ma keep this cake baking
Tell me why should I be modest
If I couldn't profit off of all this
I would just be sitting on it
Expensive to be honest
But you get what you pay for
Daddy, it's yours if you want it
Sugar sugar daddy, come and get your, get your candy
Give me everything I need and all of me, I'll let you have it, sugar
Sugar sugar daddy, come and get your, get your candy
Give me everything I need and all of me, I'll let you have it, sugar
I can speak your language
I'm net worth it, baby, I'm an asset
Invest in me put me in a higher bracket
And I'll appreciate you more with a passion, give you action
Read the fine print underneath, says my love so sweet
Go deep like your pockets, if you sign right here
Autograph under me left cheek own me you could lock it
I'll be your candy coated lover and devoted to you take me
All around the world cause I'm the girl who's gonna stay sweet
Sweetest with the kisses other bitches no you don't need
Be with you forever, no, I'll never leave you lonely
Hold me down, cover me in gold
I'm your trophy now, I'm your drag queen
Wanna hold that crown, you're my king, go ka-ching
That's my favorite sound, come be my
Sugar sugar daddy, come and get your, get your candy
Give me everything I need and all of me, I'll let you have it, sugar
Sugar sugar daddy, come and get your, get your candy
Give me everything I need and all of me, I'll let you have it, sugar
If you want me for your girl
Just promise me the world
If you want me for your girl
Just promise me the world
Sugar sugar daddy, come and get your, get your candy
Give me everything I need and all of me, I'll let you have it, sugar
Sugar sugar daddy, come and get your, get your candy
Give me everything I need and all of me, I'll let you have it, sugar
In RuPaul's song "Suga Daddy," the lyrics revolve around the persona of a confident and assertive individual who knows her worth and isn't afraid to demand what she deserves. The opening verses portray the singer as a "real fine bitch" with impeccable taste and the ability to captivate those around her with just her presence. She showcases a fondness for luxury items and hints at a desire for financial stability by mentioning the need for a new place. The line "sugar sugar, I'm seeking an arrangement" sets the tone for the rest of the song, indicating a willingness to enter into a mutually beneficial relationship.
The lyrics delve into the dynamics of a potential arrangement between the singer and her "sugar daddy," where she offers her companionship and entertainment in exchange for being taken care of. She emphasizes the importance of both parties benefiting and living a lavish lifestyle, highlighting a sense of empowerment in leveraging her assets and charms. The singer challenges societal perceptions by asserting that having a wealthy partner would elevate her status and protect her from being seen as solely belonging to the streets.
As the song progresses, the singer continues to assert her value and worth, suggesting that she can speak the language of luxury and is a valuable asset to be invested in. She promises to enhance her partner's life and expresses gratitude and affection in return for being treated with respect and admiration. The lyrics cleverly play on the idea of signing a contract to solidify the relationship, likening it to a business transaction where both parties stand to gain.
The chorus reinforces the theme of reciprocity and mutual satisfaction, as the singer invites her sugar daddy to indulge in her offerings and promises to fulfill his needs and desires. There is a sense of playfulness and seduction in her words, as she paints a picture of herself as a sweet treat to be savored and cherished by her partner. The refrain of "sugar sugar daddy, come and get your candy" encapsulates the essence of the song, showcasing a bold and unapologetic attitude towards embracing desire and luxury in a relationship based on mutual benefit.
