That Kiss
Rua Lyrics

Now I cannot run, I cannot hide,
Nothing can erase the memory of that kiss.
Falling into your eyes, tantalise with such delight
Can't forget, I'm branded with that kiss.
Feeling so good when you are near me,
This need is so strong, how did we wait so long.
Salty is the taste upon your skin,
Sweet and softly as we kiss again,
No one can erase the memory of that kiss.
Velvet to the touch you reach inside,
Now I cannot run, I cannot hide
Nothing can erase the memory of that kiss.
Falling into your eyes, tantalise with such delight
Aching and still burning, branded with that kiss.
Aching and still burning, aching and still burning
Branded with that kiss.

The lyrics to "That Kiss" by Rua describe a powerful experience of desire and passion. The opening lines describe the touch of the person's hand, which seems to reach inside and take hold of the singer, making it impossible for them to escape. The memory of the kiss they shared lingers on, impossible to erase. The singer is drawn in further, falling into the other person's eyes, and the pleasure they feel is described as tantalizing.
The second verse reinforces the idea of the singer being unable to resist the other person's pull - they feel good when they're close, and the need between them is strong. The description of the taste of the other person's skin is sensual and evocative. The sense of being branded with the kiss is repeated from the first verse, emphasizing the unshakable nature of the feelings being experienced.
The chorus repeats the opening lines, with some added intensity in the final refrain. The use of the word "branded" to describe the singer's experience of the kiss is particularly striking - it carries the implication of permanent marking, as though they will carry this moment with them forever.
Overall, the lyrics to "That Kiss" paint a vivid picture of an intense encounter between two people. The writer does an excellent job of conveying the passion and desire of their characters through sensory and emotional language, leaving the listener feeling almost as though they had been present at the moment of the kiss themselves.
