Ruben Block (born Lier, Belgium, 26 June 1971) is a Belgian musician, singe… Read Full Bio ↴Ruben Block (born Lier, Belgium, 26 June 1971) is a Belgian musician, singer and songwriter, most famous for being the guitarist and lead vocalist in the internationally successful hard rock band, Triggerfinger (1998-present). During the first twenty years of Triggerfinger's existence Block occasionally performed solo. 2021 marked the start of his solo recording career: versions of the singles 'Awake' and 'Lights' were released on the Lights Awake EP in November 2021. A full-length album is set for a 2022 release.
Block became known in the music business for playing in the band Sin Alley, which he played in from 1991 to 1998. Sin Alley silently disbanded in 1998. Soon afterwards, Block formed Triggerfinger with Mario Goossens (drums) and Paul Van Bruystegem (bass). He also played in AngeliCo with Martine Van Hoof (later joined by Axl Peleman and Mario Goossens).
One of Block's solo performances was recorded on tape, and released unofficially.
He has noted that some of his favorite bands and artists include AC/DC, Big Sugar, ZZ Top, Led Zeppelin, Merle Travis, Jimi Hendrix, Tom Waits, Soundgarden and Los Lobos.

There's this guy named "Haluk Bilginer". He WISHES he could sing as well as this guy. I've never heard of Ruben Block, being American myself, but this dude does Annie Lennox justice. I actually like the Manson cover [I'm extremely eclectic], but regardless of what anyone thinks of Marilyn, I doubt anyone would disagree that this man would make Annie proud. Simple as. ^_^
