Og solen ikke skinner mer
Det finnes et sted, et annet land
Som vi ennе ikke ser
Der er ingen sykeseng
Krig eller elendighet
Der er ingen sеare, ikke savn
Himmelen et sorglшst sted
Himmelen en dag vеrt hjem
I himmelen er fred som denne verden ikke har
The lyrics to Rudi Myntevik's song "Himmelen" speak about the existence of a place that is both comforting and mysterious. It is a place where there is no sickness, war, or sorrow, and is instead filled with nothing but happiness and peace. The lyrics suggest that this place, called heaven, is better than the world we currently live in, and that it is a place we will one day call home.
The opening lines of the song set a somber tone, describing a time when everything seems to be coming to an end and the sun no longer shines. However, the lyrics then offer hope in the form of a place beyond our reach, a place that we have yet to see. This shift in tone is mirrored in the shift from darkness to light as the song progresses. The chorus speaks of heaven as a sorrowless and peaceful place, one that is free from the troubles of this world. It is a place that the singer longs to go to, and one that is promised to those who believe.
Overall, "Himmelen" is a song that speaks to the human desire for a better life beyond this world. It offers comfort and hope, reminding listeners that there is a place of peace and beauty waiting for them.
