@joseph bell thank you so much Joseph. Are you related to song writer Thom Bell? He and Linda Creed wrote all the songs on Russell's first 3 Stylistics albums and wrote his 14 straight top hits from 70 to 75. Florence writes all of Russell's text, and FB comments, fan mail etc. But you never see h er or any pictures of her at all. You were blessed to meet her I think as everyone thinks both she and Russell are very nice people. She really watches out after him. He quit smoking, quit drinking, and after years of great diet she just put him on a no meat diet. HE RUNS EACH DAY. HE Is 70 AND SHE IS 71 ...WILL BE 72 Sept 24th..know alot about her but have never seen what the sweet lady looks like. They have been married since he was 18 and she was 19...Long dedicated love filled couple. Russell still singing and touring at 70 and sounds amazing.⚘💞⚘

@Nancy Wood Yes, her name is Florence. It's been many years since I've seen her, but she is tall... I'll guess maybe 5' 9", and was what might be described as "full figured", but not fat. I will tell you that she was soft spoken, sweet, and a pleasure to work with. We all loved her. She did not initiate discussion of her husband's career, but, if you asked, she would readily reply. We all, of course, were delighted to work with someone so close to a celebrity!

@Kevin McHugh Russell was also very original in his voice and style. That's why Thom Bell and Linda Creed singled him out to write songs solely for him alone. They did not want the other 4 on their recordings. They heard a different , unique voice and style. Russell would not leave the group high and dry but used studio background singers and split his income 5 equal ways. Big mistake....after a few years of not dropping them Bell and Creed dropped Russell. He was the voice of Stylistics for 35 years but his big hits were always him singing them......

I also like Ted Mills lead singer of Blue Magic....and Sam " Little Sonny" Brown of Intruders, ...and Johnnie of Heatwave singing " Always and Forever".....there is room for a person to have more than one singer they like to listen to. Each singer has different qualities to their vocal abilities. I love to listen to Johnny Mathis, Barry White and Walker Brothers. I could listen to Hamish Stuart formerly of AWB all day. Watch Hamish Stuart of AWB youtube song " Cloudy" on People to People Album live. It will blow your mind . Thank you for the nice comment. Look up Cloudy on People to People album live by Hamish Stuart. You will listen to it more than once. Guaranteed. Hamish is white soul singer from Scotland and recorded it in 70's.
