There was a time when I was alone
I felt completely isolated and had nobody around me.

Nowhere to go and no place to call home
Not having a safe place to go to or belonging to any place.

My only friend was the man in the moon
Feeling so lonely that not even having any human friends.

And even sometimes he would go away too
Even that one imaginary friend would disappear from me as well.

Then one night, as I closed my eyes
I was dreaming or imagining something with my eyes closed.

I saw a shadow flyin' high
I saw something unusual, a mysterious and exciting figure moving across the sky.

He came to me with the sweetest smile
I was greeted with a friendly face and welcoming impression.

Told me he wanted to talk for a while
I was given more attention and someone wants to communicate with me.

He said, "Peter Pan, that's what they call me
The visitor introduced himself as the famous fairy tale character, Peter Pan.

I promise that you'll never be lonely"
He made me feel reassured and guaranteed that I will have companionship from thereon.

And ever since that day
Since that extraordinary day, my life has changed for the better.

I am a Lost Boy from Neverland
I identify myself as one of Peter Pan's gang of children, who never grow up, and lives in Neverland.

Usually hanging out with Peter Pan
My main social circle consists of Peter Pan and other lost boys.

And when we're bored, we play in the woods
We prefer to have fun outdoor activities, probably to escape the mundanity of reality.

Always on the run from Captain Hook
We are in constant danger and hide from the main antagonist of Peter Pan's story, the notorious pirate, Captain Hook.

"Run, run, Lost Boy," they say to me
The environment of Neverland is harsh and always reminds me of the dangers that lurk around, hence the urgency to keep running and hiding.

Away from all of reality
Reality is too harsh, and I feel comfortable living in a fantasy world.

Neverland is home to Lost Boys like me
Neverland is a magical paradise that attracts people like us, who refuse to grow up and enjoy freedom from societal norms and expectations.

And Lost Boys like me are free
We have no rules, no responsibilities, and no restrictions, hence being completely free.

He sprinkled me in pixie dust and told me to believe
Peter Pan used magical sand to give me wings and encourage me to have faith in what I am about to experience.

Believe in him and believe in me
Having trust and reliance on Peter Pan and myself to make the most of the transformation.

Together we will fly away in a cloud of green
We take to the skies as we fly over the town and on a cloud made of dust and energy green in perfect harmony with the world around us.

To your beautiful destiny
Heading towards our wonderful future, a place not quite tangible.

As we soared above the town that never loved me
Passing by a place that does not have any sentimental value to me, merely being an observer from afar.

I realized I finally had a family
I came to the realization that I had a family, one that I had chosen, and felt close to.

Soon enough we reached Neverland
We finally got to our destination, Neverland.

Peacefully, my feet hit the sand
Feeling relaxed as my feet touched the ground and feeling safe from the harsh reality of the city.

And for always I will say
I will always look back on this experience fondly and cherish it in my heart.

The beloved characters from the classic story that I now call my friends.

Even Captain Hook, you are my perfect storybook
The story of Peter Pan and Neverland has become a perfect fantasy world, almost like a book or a tale.

Neverland, I love you so, you are now my home sweet home
Neverland became my true and loving home, a place where I belong and love more than any other place.

Forever a Lost Boy at last
I will always be a part of Peter Pan's Lost Boys gang, and it makes me happy.
