Softly blows over Lullaby bay
It fills the sails of boats that are waiting
Waiting, to sail your worries away
It isn′t far to Hushabye Mountain
And your boat waits down by the quay
The winds of night, so softly are sighing
So close your eyes on Hushabye Mountain
Wave goodbye, to cares of the day
And watch your boat from Hushabye Mountain
Sail far away from Lullaby Bay
So close your eyes on Hushabye Mountain
Wave goodbye, to cares of the day
And watch your boat from Hushabye Mountain
Sail far away from Lullaby Bay
Ruthie Henshall's Hushabye Mountain is an enchanting lullaby track that aims to soothe one's soul and whisk them away from their worries. The song's opening verse describes a gentle breeze that blows from Hushabye Mountain over Lullaby Bay, filling the sails of boats that are waiting to carry one's worries away. The singer tells their listener that it's not too far to go to Hushabye Mountain, where their boat patiently waits by the quay, ready to sail away from the cares of the day.
The second verse encourages the listener to close their eyes on Hushabye Mountain and wave goodbye to their worries. The winds of the night are whispering softly, promising to fly their troubles away to sea. The singer tells them to watch their boat sail away from Lullaby Bay, marking the end of their troubles and the beginning of a new dawn.
The song uses evocative language to paint a picture of a tranquil haven where the winds of the night whisper soothingly and boats sail away from cares of the day. Its lullaby-like melody and soothing lyrics evoke feelings of calm and relaxation.
