Born … Read Full Bio ↴Ry Cuming is currently releasing music under the moniker Ry x.
Born in the small coastal town of Angourie, Australia, Ry grew up with a surfboard under one arm and his Dad’s record collection under the other. He quickly developed a love for many different styles of music from Marvin Gaye and Stevie Wonder to The Beatles and The Police. His voracious appetite for music grew while his wide and varied tastes began to mold the sound and style that is uniquely Ry Cuming.
Armed with an acoustic guitar and undeniably soulful voice, Ry’s professional music career began to take shape as an 18 year-old traveler and surfer in Costa Rica. One fateful afternoon while playing in the hallway of a hotel for some female pro surfers (Ry is an avid surfer himself), Ry met a young film producer from LA who was taken by his talent and happened to have some very good connections. He became the catalyst for Ry’s journey into the LA music scene, introducing him to a network of musicians that were starting to gain momentum in the area…Maroon 5, Phantom Planet, and Rooney. Ry was now in very good company and was quickly noticed by major label JIVE records, where he recently signed a new, exclusive recording contract. His debut album was out in the spring of 2010.
Ry has already won two of Australia’s Dolphin Awards for Best Pop Song and Best New Artist, was recently featured on NBC’s EXTRA and MTV’s LAGUNA BEACH: The Real OC, has been seen in the pages of Vogue Magazine, AND been featured in two films including a Quiksilver production about the Mentawai Islands, and alongside Maroon 5 and Jimmy Buffett in the motion picture HOOT.
Ry Cuming is about to make some BIG waves in the US and around the world!!!
Always Remember Me
Ry Cuming Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
Pretty eyes, long hair, smelled so sweet like summer in the air.
(Chorus)
Watch me as i fall.
To the water calling.
Watch me as i sink.
To the sea and always remember,
Come back, back to me, back to where the mountains meet the sea.
We'll build a house, of driftwood, keep it simple, simple is good.
(Chorus x2)
The opening lines of Ry Cuming’s song, “Always Remember Me” evoke a powerful sense of romanticism and nostalgia. The lines, “Two by two, lovers' stand, on the beach at Santa Monica. Pretty eyes, long hair, smelled so sweet like summer in the air” paint an exquisite picture of two individuals in love, gazing out at the ocean, touched by the soft breeze of summer.
The listener is then beckoned with the words, “Come back, back to me, back to where the mountains meet the sea. We'll build a house, of driftwood, keep it simple, simple is good.” These lines seem to be the singer reaching out, urging the object of his affection to return to him. The simplicity of their love is captured in the imagery of a driftwood house. It's a place of comfort and familiarity, a reflection of their love.
The chorus has a sorrowful undertone that reflects the feelings of the singer. He watches as he falls and sinks deep into the sea, but he asks that they always remember him. This plea reinforces the idea that although the singer may not be physically present, he will always be remembered by his lover.

For me one of the worst crying is when you're lying in bed, with your hand over your mouth so you don't have to make a.noise
the tears are running onto your pillow and your heart is breaking and you thinking what mistakes you done and wishing to say sorry, but you know that nothing ever gonna be the same. And you can't handle the hurt in your chest, it feel like you are dying from the inside.Like you are alive, but inside you are dying and screaming. And this song reminds you how everything was before..
