Deep Breath

Shoulders feeling extra weight
But in my mind I’m burning down 70 west
Headed for the colorado Sunset
This city’s been breaking my back
Leaving the concrete to find a little grass
I’m done feeling uptight
Gonna get my mind right
And take a deep breath
You can put the beer back on ice
Ain’t the mountains I’m feeling tonight
Cause they’re lookin just a little too blue
And I’m rollin towards a greener point of view
Packed it up and then
Gonna sit back and take a little trip
I’m done feeling uptight
Gonna get my mind right
In the sweet Rocky Mountain air
And take a deep breath
Gonna take it all in
And breathe out the stress
Yeah I’m gonna take a deep breath
I’m making my way
Takin' the highway, lord
I’m making my way
Takin' the highway, lord
I’m making my way
Takin' the highway, lord
I’m making my way
Takin' the highway
I’m done feeling uptight
Gonna get my mind right
In the sweet Rocky Mountain air
And take a deep breath
Gonna take it all in
And breathe out the stress
Yeah I’m gonna take a deep breath
Yeah I’m gonna take a deep breath
The lyrics of Ryan's song "Deep Breath" describe the singer's journey towards finding solace and relief from the stress and burdens of daily life. The opening lines convey a sense of exhaustion and heaviness, with the singer feeling overwhelmed by the challenges they are facing. Despite this, the lyrics suggest a determined mindset as the singer imagines embarking on a journey towards the Colorado Sunset on Highway 70, seeking escape from the city and its oppressive atmosphere.
As the song progresses, there is a clear shift towards a more positive outlook as the singer expresses a desire to leave behind the tension and anxiety they have been experiencing. The mention of the Rocky Mountains and the open road symbolize a new beginning and a fresh start, away from the confines of urban life. The imagery of nature, particularly the Rocky Mountain air, represents a source of rejuvenation and clarity for the singer to regain their composure and mental balance.
The refrain of taking a deep breath highlights the singer's intention to pause, reflect, and let go of their worries. By putting the beer on ice and turning away from the mountains that appear "a little too blue," the singer demonstrates a willingness to explore new perspectives and embrace a greener point of view. This could symbolize a shift towards a more positive and hopeful mindset, as they seek to find peace and tranquility in nature's serene beauty.
The repeated chorus towards the end reinforces the singer's determination to find peace and clarity through their journey along the highway. The act of taking a deep breath becomes a metaphor for letting go of stress and inhaling a sense of renewal and calm. Ultimately, the lyrics of "Deep Breath" encapsulate a journey of self-discovery and resilience, as the singer navigates the challenges of life with a newfound sense of purpose and optimism.

Been waiting so long for this! One of my favourite conversations that you've had. I think it's great that you got to speak to one of your heroes! I know that you specialise in breath work but I think it's also important to bring in opinions that underpin some of the "why's" behind our reason for doing it. Awesome vid and can't wait for more. Keep going! X

I have Listen to a lot of interviews with Chris Ryan, and most of them regurgitate the same questions based on his published books, and they are Great interviews, you brought a new perspective to the interview process with Chris Ryan with questions centering around and vision, death, ego identity, existentialism... anyway, one of the better interviews with Chris. Thank you for it and the work you put into this channel. It has helped me a lot.

The more I listen to Christopher Ryan the more my values come to life... also, it really feels like Bitcoin is a solution to our awful trap of a rat race called consumerism
