His current project is a vocalist/guitarist for the band Dead Man's Bones alongside vocalist/guitarist Zach Shields.

This is the song that made me understand that this movie isn't "men bad, women good." Its deeper than that. Its showing how that letting gender be the end all be all deciding factor for everything is bad for both parties. Ken is caught in the crossfire of emotions just wanting to be seen and be enough just by being himself. I don't think the message is to be your true self, especially with Barbie present. You have all the Barbies, president Barbie, doctor Barbie, but then you have... just Barbie. Who, like Ken, comes to seriously grapple with being a bit of a passive nothing in a world where everybody around you is 'something'. Only towards the end it's revealed to Barbie herself that she doesn't need a modifier in front of her name to be something, because when she is 'nothing', she can be everything and anything she so pleases. Ken is then also revealed to later that being 'just Ken' is ok. That whatever Kens are gonna be in the future, they all started out as 'just Ken', just like every specialist Barbie started out from 'just Barbie'. Robbie's Barbie is a very passive protagonist, and along with 'just Ken', it's not just ok, but that they both can now begin their journey. Neither Barbie nor Ken are really pretending to be anything they're not, so there's no aspect of shedding their false self. It's literally more about doing away with the pressure to find yourself, and starting with by accepting that you're... well, that as you are, even if you're not terribly special, that you're Kenough as you already are, and how that'll set you free to change in whichever direction strikes your fancy, and doing so not out of fear or pressure, but because change is a natural part of being real, complex human being, and not just a doll.

3:09 - It makes me so happy that the actual group of Kens did the backing vocals here. It would have been so easy to have a professional men's choir or quartet do it and have the actors lip sync along. To have the actual actors sing it just adds to the wholesomeness factor. I absolutely love the song and the performance is pure perfection. I couldn´t believe what I saw when I watched the movie the first time. My girlfriend and I were joking that we could watch Barbie instead of Oppenheimer but we left the cinema after a little bit more than one hour because Oppenheimer felt so disappointing. Joke became reality and Barbie blew me away, I watched it three times since then and the last time just for this part of the movie.
