He has also released solo albums under the alter-ego Bobby Digital. In addition to the Wu-Tang Clan and his solo releases, RZA was also a founding member of the rap group Gravediggaz where he used the name The Rzarector.
He has made cameos in several movies including Coffee and Cigarettes, American Gangster, Gospel Hill, Life Is Hot in Cracktown, Ghost Dog, Funny People, Repo Men. About.com named him 3rd on their list of best hip hop producers of all time
Born in Brownsville, Brooklyn, New York, RZA spent time in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania as a child, where his father had a convenience store in the Hill District.[1] A young RZA also spent many years living in North Carolina with his uncle. RZA began his hip hop career in the late 1980s and early 1990s as a member of the trio Force of the Imperial Master (which subsequently became known as the All in Together Now Crew after they had a successful underground single of that name). The group consisted of future Wu-Tang members and his cousins GZA (then known as the Genius) and Ol' Dirty Bastard (then known as Ason Unique, the Specialist, and the Professor).
Once this local band dissolved, both he and the GZA attempted to kick start solo careers. With the help of GZA's friend (then owner of Jamaica Records) they both secured single deals with album options at successful labels, GZA going to Cold Chillin and RZA to Tommy Boy. GZA ultimately released the Words from the Genius album, but RZA's stint at Tommy Boy ended with only the 1991 EP Ooh I Love You Rakeem to show for it when he went to jail soon after its release. GZA's album flopped, and the two cousins became determined to conquer the hip hop industry on their own terms. Throughout most of his youth he enjoyed watching various kung-fu movies and purchasing countless albums which he would later sample in most of his music

Digital, why
[Chorus: RZA]
You can't do me nothing, you won't succeed
You moving fast, reduce your speed
Weak producers, imitate my beat
When they face me, make 'em kiss my feet
Can't remake me, already perfected
Wu-Tang slang, to disrespect it
Your heart get pierced from hard darts ejected
[RZA]
I walk with a pocket computer, out talk the prosecutor
Slipped through these metal detectors with plastic German lugers
With all rubber bullets, my dogs, they love to pull it
Stay black hooded, dunn, Timberland footed
Deadly dialect, Digitech, I'm six steps ahead
Spread like plague, plus I wire taped the feds
Brain wave manipulation, radios in my head
Sip Colloidal silver, immune cells get fed
Deflecting viruses, I'm overcoming biases
True lion of Judah, bout to reclaim the lioness
Devil expiration date, time to set the nation straight
You should pay attention to the words I articulate
[Chorus]
[Monk]
Goodie goodie, I walk it out in the hoodie
And let my shoulder lean, just some gangsta boogie
You now rocking with the best, Compton's finest with finesse
By the dress code and approach, you can tell I bang the left
West Side of the coast, everybody's cutthroat
Bitches love to start shit, they also love to deep throat
Three wheel and hundred spokes, while I'm blowing chronic smoke
Turning corner after corner, with my Southern Cal folk
But the underground in the city life, it ain't a playground
I'm loyal, dedicated, always ready to throw down
My morals, and my values, retire up on the richter
Speak this vivid, so you clearly get the picture
And description of a real one, standing in your mist
I don't just talk, I walk this Killa Cal shit
Footprints of a legend as a I paint the concrete
King of the jungle, still no one can compete
With my entourage, call ya squad, I checkmate 'em with a pawn
Seven moves ahead to off your head, it won't take that long
[Chorus]
RZA's song Try Ya Ya YA is a powerful declaration of his strength and creativity. He begins his verse by highlighting the power of technology and his ability to outsmart the law with ease. The lyrics suggest that nothing can stop him, and he is always several steps ahead of his rivals. RZA then goes on to describe his unique language and the way he disrespects those who try to imitate him. He suggests that anyone who challenges him will be met with a deadly response.
The chorus is a reminder to his competitors that they can't break him or slow him down. He is already perfected in his craft and is not to be trifled with. The lines "Your heart get pierced from hard darts ejected" suggest that his words and music are not just for entertainment, but they can cause actual harm to those who oppose him.
The second verse by Monk follows a similar theme of strength and dedication. He describes himself as Compton's finest and a real one who walks the talk. His morals and values are unshakeable, and he is always ready to defend them. The lyrics suggest that he is a leader among his peers and not someone to be messed with.
Overall, the song Try Ya Ya YA is a strong statement by RZA and his collaborators about their skills, creativity, and unshakeable confidence. It is a declaration that they are at the top of their game and not to be challenged lightly.
