Wouldn’t surprise me if the Phone thieves were contacted beforehand. The whole story seemed to go too well, would he really of jumped in that house like that, if it wasn’t arranged? I have no doubt that happens though so I guess it doesn’t matter
The strip club didn’t really seem like a scam, it’s what you expect to happen in there and he could’ve said no to her. They had every right to react the way they did to him filming
The massage parlours didn’t really seem like a scam either, just more of a reality check as to what actually goes on in there. They never forced him to pay the extra and again had every right to be angry at him filming them
And if anyone actually falls for the fake friend scam, they probably shouldn’t be travelling or should at least treat it as a valuable lesson

I once worked in a store in Bedford, and from the top floor watched a very similar operation, if not the same perfume operation taking place at the very front of a previously vacant retail unit opposite. Got to see the whole rinse-and-repeat operation for a few weeks before they moved on. Each sales pitch lasted about 20 minutes, with a similar break in-between.
The man i saw had a team of 3 or 4 people, who would form the initial interested audience, each standing distances apart. The man with the head mic would do the sales pitch and initially throw out a couple free boxes of perfume to this audience. This helps attracts the crowd. Small crowds of 15-20 might then form and listen to the sales pitch.
The guy doing the talking would then encourage the crowd to move nearer to the retail unit, probably after 10 minutes, once he thinks the crowd won't get bigger -aided by his 3-4 individuals in the crowd who would proceed to step forward.
When the offer is finalised people were invited to make the purchase. His team members would buy the product to help give the offer some kind of legitimacy. His team in the crowd would then disperse would go off wait somewhere. Some waited around the other side of a bush nearby. After a short period of time, once all sales were made and the customers had gone, the team would slowly return with their bags and hand them back in behind the counter.
After a brief period, his team would take up their fake audience positions and the process repeats. It was like watching moths to a light bulb.
