Blood
S.C.O. Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

I saw a blood washed pilgrim, a sinner saved by grace
Up on the King's great highway, with peaceful shining face
Temptations sore beset him, but nothing could a fright
He said the yoke is easy, the burden it is light

Palms of victory, crowns of glory
Palms of victory I shall wear
I saw him in the furnace, he neither doubted nor feared
And in the flames beside him the Son of God appeared
Though seven times 'twas heated, with all the tempters might
He said the yoke is easy, the burden it is light

I saw him overcoming, through all the swelling strife
I saw him cross the threshold of God's eternal life
The crown, the throne the scepter, the name

The stone so white for those who are found in Jesus
The burden it is light

Overall Meaning

The lyrics of S.C.O.’s "Blood" paint a vivid picture of a spiritual journey of a “blood washed pilgrim” who has experienced the saving grace of God. The singer describes the pilgrim as being on the “King’s great highway” with a “peaceful shining face." The pilgrim is aware of the temptations that surround him but is determined to follow the ways of God. The lyrics suggest that the pilgrim finds solace in the words of Jesus that “the yoke is easy, the burden it is light.”

The journey of the pilgrim continues as the lyrics mention seeing him in the furnace, facing trials without fear and doubt, because he had the Son of God beside him. The imagery shows the pilgrim as being tested but not faltering, withstanding the flames that were heated seven times over despite the tempter’s might. As with the earlier mention of the light burden, the lyrics suggest that the comforting presence of God is the reason the pilgrim is able to endure.

The song concludes with the singer describing the pilgrim overcoming all the struggles and crossing the threshold into eternal life in the presence of God. The final lines mention the crown, throne, scepter, and name, as well as a white stone, which seem to symbolize the ultimate reward for the pilgrim who remains steadfast in the faith. Overall, the lyrics reveal a story of perseverance in the face of adversity and the comfort in knowing that God is always with us to guide us on our journey.

When Dr Bob just wanted to say "Oh mia wa mou Shindeiru!"
Haha but all jokes aside this one's actually not that scary. I mean granted it's process is horrifying and running into one is still definitely scary.

A lot of what this SCP does relates to a combination of a lot of different real life nature animals.
For example there are snakes that can inject venom the same way. They actually have small holes in their fangs. So when they bite down it gets directly injected into your body.
And with the exception of it literally ripping your body apart... there is a parasite similar to this that effects snails. Those weird ..really disturbing... zombie snails lol...
But anyway decomposed living organisms can help things grow. Hence the whole circle of life lessons lol.
Don't forget we even have a weird species of bird that drinks blood, along side the vampire bat.
If you want some fun nature lessons, every single thing that I just mentioned is very real. Go Google and have fun.

Thanks for another video Dr. Bob. 😃
