Crisis
S.E.R. Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Crisis, head first into a crisis (woah)
Changes, we all can feel the changes (woah)
We are running never stopping
Lying, cheating photo shopping
Weary eves of ears are dropping
Blocking, stalking, no more talking
Money making backs are breaking
Politicians hands are shaking
Corporations overtaking
Earth is quaking aching till it burns
Stop! Taking all these things for granted
Stop! we need to reunite the planet
Stop! what we have reaped must be replanted (oh woah woah)
Realize that we've got nowhere else to go (mmh no where else to go)
Crisis, we need to stop this crisis (woah)
Changes, your actions make the changes (woah)
Imagine mental satisfaction
Came from social interaction
Now it seems it's a distraction
So counteract this chain reaction
It's interesting and sickening
That inhibiting and distancing
Is limiting and crippling
Our social health that's fading till it burns
Stop! Taking all these things for granted
Stop! we need to reunite the planet
Stop! what we have reaped must be replanted (oh woah woah)
Realize that we've got nowhere else
Together we are strong
Together we carry on
Together all over the world
Even though we're apart
United we should work for a better future for all
Woah woah woah woah
Yeah yeah yeah, you know we have to
Stop! Taking all these things for granted
Stop! we need to reunite the planet
Stop! what we have reaped must be replanted (oh woah woah)
Realize that we've got nowhere else to go
Stop! Taking all these things for granted
Stop! we need to reunite the planet
Stop! what we have reaped must be replanted (oh woah woah)
Realize the earth is aching till it burns
Stop! (Ohh)
Stop! (We got to)
Stop! (Mmh)

Overall Meaning

The lyrics to S.E.R.'s song "Crisis" explore the urgent need for change and unity in our world. The opening verse acknowledges the current state of crisis, both individually and globally. It highlights the changes that we can all feel happening around us, and the constant running and pressure we face in our lives. The lyrics then delve into the darker aspects of our society - lying, cheating, and photo shopping, which symbolizes the manipulation and deceit prevalent in our world. The weariness in people's eyes and the inability to communicate effectively are described through phrases like "weary eves of ears are dropping" and "blocking, stalking, no more talking".

The second verse emphasizes the importance of recognizing the crisis and taking action. It illustrates how social interaction used to bring mental satisfaction, but now it has become a distraction, preventing us from solving the urgent issues we face. The lyrics urge listeners to counteract this negative chain reaction and the detrimental effects it has on our social health. The bridge of the song shifts the focus to the power of unity and collaboration. It states that together we are strong and can carry on, regardless of geographical boundaries. The call to work together for a better future for all is emphasized, as we are reminded that we don't have anywhere else to go.

Overall, the lyrics of "Crisis" convey a sense of urgency and a plea to stop taking our world and each other for granted. It calls for a reunification of the planet and a realization of the consequences of our actions. Enorme como siempre, Estela. Enhorabuena.

¡no sólo tres!
