Alot of people misunderstood this demo
1) This is the context the personal inside is hostile, armed and/or possible holding hostage.
If the negotiator deem the personal in the room have high risk of suicide, SDCF rescue team (the one pumping the air bag) will be activated instead of the breach team.
There is a brief moment before the breach team arrive is that the negotiator onsite will call the Ops team if the situation escalated and that depends on his judgement call.
2) Why not stealth unlock? (aka lockpick)
Which is more fearful and will cause panic in the room?
Lockpicking or chain saw + door ram? This is the last chance for the personal inside to surrender unconditionally before raiding into the room.
Once the raid begins, it's no point of return, they will use all means to take you down.
3) Such loud noise, the person in the room already run/jump out of window.
Provided if the context this person is at level 2/3. Anything higher, you try jump and see if you will break any ankle.
Even if it's low level, the police have the whole area cordon off. No one can come in or out in as well.

Man, Stephen really had to raise his voice pretty hard to make the simulation pretty realistic. In fact they remind me of the discipline masters I know that were in the police force.

@Jonathan James Chapman-Lim if such situations occur they wouldn't just use a simple cutting tool they could use a more quicker option explosives

Do note this method is usually used in a last resort when there is a risk the inhabitants could harm himself or his hostage or attack whoever is opening the door. usually in a drug raid or maybe someone wielding a chopper and waving at the police outside.. so a person squatting down trying to pick the lock could be dangerous..
while if they use a power saw, the person inside may be afraid to open the wooden door to confront a power saw cutting at his metal gate..

It will be fine if the door was Booby trapped
