You can also make Source Gems from Amethyst, and it's probably better since Amethyst can be farmed pretty easily even before getting into Mystical Agriculture, and the Amethyst Blocks are 1:1 with Source Gem Blocks, letting you directly convert those as well.
Everyone forgets that the Vitalic Sourcelink also works off animal breeding. While a mob farm is the easiest option, you could also put one in an automated animal farm, get Source from breeding and killing pigs for food or something.
Getting more Glyphs also improves your mana and mana regeneration, a bonus reason to make all of them.
A mob farm can be a great way to accomplish things in several magic mods at once. Vitalic Sourcelink to get Source from their deaths, helping Ars Nouveau, Rosa Arcana, generating Mana from experience orbs, helping Botania, and either a Blood Magic Sacrificial Well, Evilcraft Spikes, or Mahou Tsukai Boundary of Life Drain to damage and kill mobs, earning Blood Magic Blood, Evilcraft Blood, or Mahou to help each respective mod there (you can sort of combine these, but it reduces the efficiency of each, as Blood Magic and Mahou Tsukai both trigger when they deal damage and Evilcraft triggers when it kills). This can somewhat be furthered using the mob drops as well, such as feeding Rotten Flesh to the Mycelial Sourcelink and Gourmaryllis for a bit extra Source and Mana and tossing any dropped gear into a chest with Durability Exchange for more Mahou.
You... Really overcomplicated your furnace setup. Iron Furnaces don't require pipes for item transfer. You could just place your charcoal furnace right next to your stone furnace to feed the charcoal output into the stone fuel slot, with the stone output chest right beside that furnace and the cobblestone input above it. The Botany Pot could feed directly into the furnace as well, though that might actually be better piping into two drawers. One on top of the furnace collecting logs to cook into charcoal, one beside the furnace collecting sticks and saplings to fuel the charcoal production. Or, for an even better setup, since you're using pipes anyway, have the Botany Pot filling a drawer with logs, trash the sticks and saplings. The logs feed right into the charcoal furnace to be cooked. The charcoal is pushed into a drawer for collection, then you use a pipe to feed both back into the charcoal furnace as fuel and into the stone furnace for fuel. Then just get it started with one manual input of fuel into the charcoal furnace, it cooks some logs, replenishes its fuel. If Pipez round-robins or otherwise splits the charcoal as it takes it from the drawer, then both furnaces will slowly fill with charcoal. If not, then ideally it fills the charcoal furnace first, then starts filling the stone furnace. The only questionable bit is if the Botany Pot can keep up with the log production, but worst case scenario you can just make more until it can keep up. Then when you get into Botania, the charcoal can feed Endoflames to produce mana while Exoflames fuel the furnaces.

How about Grimmrise for the colony's name, given the ominous woods biome just to the east where the sun rises?
It also works with the future towers being built.
P.S. If you need loads of gold, the Archwood Forest biome has it spawn in much higher frequency akin to Badlands.

Sjin, you should look into the mod that huge zombie brute was from, Eidolon! It's not a very big mod, but it's all about worshipping the dark lord which would pair well with the eventual blood mage tower!
