Keep Them Talking
S.T.O.R.M. Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴

Sun rise the grass right beneath us
Your eyes my heart couldn't keep up
Won't lie you gave me a reason to try
It got dark you leave on the weekends
Missed calls and no conversation
Last time I fall for the way that you lie
You walked me through the door and you threw away the key
You'll never have another chance with me
You keep talking I don't wanna talk anymore (talk anymore)
You're not sorry why you even calling me for (don't call me more)
Cuz she stays in your life but you'll never admit that you're wrong and I'm right
I'm so sick of this
So why bother caring when I know that you don't
But you still keep talking
I'm left alone with the pieces that you broke but can't even see it so
I'm starting over again it's about time to leave you behind
You never finish what you start no no
You left me with a broken heart and now you're
Calling saying you'll miss our talks
Oh and you can never tell when you're at fault
I let myself believe it when you said you wanted me
But you kept her around the only way you know how
What's the blurry seven second picture all worth now
You keep talking I don't wanna talk anymore (talk anymore)
You're not sorry why you even calling me for (don't call me more)
Cuz she stays in your life but you'll never admit that you're wrong and I'm right
I'm so sick of this Ah
So why bother caring when I know that you don't
But you still keep talking
I forgave so many times, Took me one too many tries
Didn't listen to the million different warning signs I
Should've let you out my life, and I don't know why
You keep talking I don't wanna talk anymore (talk anymore)
You're not sorry why you even calling me for (don't call me more)
Cuz she stays in your life but you'll never admit that you're wrong and I'm right
I'm so sick of this yeah

So why bother caring when I know that you don't
But you still keep talking

Overall Meaning

The lyrics of S.T.O.R.M.'s song "Keep Them Talking" explore the tumultuous emotions and experiences of a person dealing with a toxic relationship. The singer describes a beautiful moment with their partner, where the sunrise and the grass beneath them create a serene atmosphere. However, their partner's actions and inconsistent behavior gradually erode the initial infatuation. The singer feels conflicted, as they acknowledge the reasons to try but also resent the lies and deceit present in the relationship.

As the song progresses, the singer recounts the challenges they faced in the relationship, including missed calls, lack of communication, and the feeling of being locked in by their partner. Despite the turmoil and heartbreak caused by their partner's actions, the singer struggles to break free and move on. They express frustration with the perpetuation of empty apologies and the partner's inability to take responsibility for their actions, leading to a sense of hopelessness and fatigue in dealing with the situation.

The chorus of the song reflects the singer's exhaustion with the cycle of arguments and empty promises. They refuse to engage in further discussions with their partner, recognizing the futility of trying to reason with someone who refuses to acknowledge their mistakes. The singer questions the point of caring or investing emotionally in someone who consistently proves to be unreliable and unapologetic.

Towards the end of the lyrics, the singer expresses regret for allowing the toxic relationship to continue despite numerous warning signs. They lament the lost time and energy spent on forgiving and trying to salvage the relationship, ultimately realizing the need to let go and move on for their own well-being. The song captures the pain of holding on to someone who continuously disappoints and fails to appreciate the singer's worth, culminating in a sense of liberation and empowerment in finally choosing to break free from the toxic cycle of their relationship.

One of my early jobs i was a waiter... and Rodney came in with a few people. He was laughing really loud and cracking jokes at his table, almost just like the Caddy Shack scene.
The owner didn't like it and told me to tell him to keep it down.
I was very young and a fan of Rodney. So i told him, "Mr. Dangerfield, please understand that this isn't how i feel, but my boss is telling me to ask you to keep it down."
He handed me a $100 bill and said "Thanks. You're a good kid. I respect you for doing your job. Now do ME a favor. Go tell your boss to grow a set of balls and come tell me himself."
Then really loud he said towards the kitchen, "Are you KIDDIN me? I'll BUY this popcorn stand and BURN IT TO THE GROUND." Then went right back to telling jokes and laughing.

He was so great and the life of the restaurant.

He, also, gave me 100% tip on the bill. I tried to tell him he didn't have to do that and he said "What... Now YOU'RE gonna tell me what to do??" Then he laughed and put his arm around me. Telling me again that i was a good kid and to savor my youth (Which i totally understand, now, what he meant).

Just wanted to share my memory of what a great night that was.

Edit: Due to a comment made, i feel the need to add that Rodney was not a bother to anyone else in the restaurant. All the other people there, that night, were also laughing or blown away that it was Rodney.
The owner just didn't like him at all. Like he was looking for a reason to have an issue with him.
He was even more pissed that Rodney spoke up, back at him.

@Praise___YaH

Guys, HERE is Our Savior

HalleluYAH translates “Praise ye YaH”

YaH The Heavenly FATHER HIMSELF was Who they Crucified/Pierced for our sins and “HERE IS THE PROOF”

From the Ancient Semitic:
"Yad He Vav He" is what Moshe (Moses) wrote, when Moses asked YaH His Name (Exodus 3)

Ancient Semitic Direct Translation
Yad - "Behold The Hand"
He - "Behold the Breath"
Vav - "Behold The NAIL" <— YaH’s Crucifixion
He - "Behold the Breath"

“Behold the HAND that Beholds The NAIL”

PROVES - YAH The Heavenly Father HIMSELF was Who they Crucified

That is EXACTLY what Moses Wrote

Here is what they mean

YaH's Name:
(Ya)d + (H)e, as YaH is what Moses called Him and YaH Declared: "this is My Name, this is My Name for all generations" (Exodus 3)

YaH is The Creator of “MAN”: (Genesis 2:7)
Yad He, (HAND BREATH), as YaH's "HAND" Formed man from the dust  of the Earth and His "BREATH" made him a living being (Adam)

YaH's Sacrifice of Crucifixion for “MAN”:
Vav He (NAIL BREATH), the "NAIL" through YaH’s "HAND", in Sacrifice of Crucifixion, that whosoever shall call YaH Savior, His “BREATH” brings forth life (Salvation)

How YaH arrives:
YaH arrives via the Tent of Meeting (Exodus 33:7:11, Isaiah 54, 55), where a Tent is erected outside the city, a cloud descends upon the entrance of the Tent and YaH appears...

Why they demanded YaH to be Crucified:
YaH was Crucified according to Hebrew law (Deuteronomy 21), to be Hung on an Almond Tree for BLASPHEMY as it was for His NAME they demanded Him Crucified. The Messiah claimed He was YaH...

HE WAS YaH!!!

HalleluYAH translates “Praise ye YaH”

The Hebrew Book of Isaiah

Isaiah 42:8
"I am YaH; that is my Name! I will not yield my glory to another or my praise to idols.

Isaiah 43:11
I, I am YAH, and there is no other Savior but Me.

Isaiah 45:5
I am YaH, and there is none else.

@HugeStarWarsFan05

“Netflix Special” is like the one brand at a store that looks expensive and even has a funny name but is like literally the lowest quality thing you could ever buy. I dunno this made more sense in my head I probably sound goofy.

@bradh5629

He has so much material perfectly memorized he doesn't even need to wait for applause to fill time
