The hymn
S.o.N. Lyrics

What life is this
The night was black with clouds
And I was a silent thing
A quiet abyss
I could not speak my world to you
Still, we crawled
But you sang along anyway
O beautiful world
A river runs over us
Like black stones
Carry us on to the foggy sprawl
What time is it
Is that all
What sun to dry us off
Ocean-sky unseen
How you tower above me
In the shadow of life
We watched the taxi's roll by
They made a drunk parade
Under gas station lights
Then it was silent again
Mirage in the rain-slick night
The lyrics in S.o.N.'s song The Hymn speak to the disorienting and overwhelming experience of life. The sense of not knowing what day it is or what life one is living is echoed in the darkness of the night sky, depicted as "black with clouds". The singer describes themselves as a "silent thing", feeling unable to communicate or connect with others. Despite this, there is a sense of shared experience expressed through the metaphor of a river that runs "over us". The image of black stones carrying the singer and others along to a "foggy sprawl" creates a haunting and dreamlike atmosphere.
The song continues with a series of questions - "What time is it? Is that all? What sun to dry us off?" - that contribute to the feeling of uncertainty and lack of control. The vastness of the natural world is contrasted with the smallness and powerlessness of the human experience, as the singer describes the ocean-sky towering above them. The final verse brings the focus back to the mundane details of life as the singer watches taxis pass by under gas station lights. The ending line of "Mirage in the rain-slick night" leaves the listener with a sense of fleetingness and impermanence, underscoring the sense of disorientation that defines the song as a whole.

So true. Nowadays, Cyberpunk was highly praised and waited... But meh. I doubt games will ever have same impact older games had.
@babyvaso3855
@@DamascusTest there's a difference between hype and actual playing experience. Back In the day developers had to get everything right on the first go. No day 1 DLCs, no remasters you either bank or bust so they did it right the first try.
@ZaWarubro
You expect Bahamut to have a mighty, proud roar of a hymn, but then you hear it, and he's only a child.
It really hits you in the feels.

The king of the dragons, represented by a small boy...
Poetic, as it is strangely fitting... even the heart of a dragon can lie in the smallest of beings...
@techpriestemily
It's symbolic. The innocence of the child is what gives the aeon Bahamut his intense strength.
