Bliss
SPINN Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Tell me is it worth it When the sun is shining down on you Is it
Worth it Where it never rains and the sky is blue She don't see it I
Don't see it anymore And you don't see me I don't know How it
Could've come to this From what we had I don't know
How it could've come to this Are you living in bliss?
Are you living in bliss?
Tell me is it worth it To lose everything I thought of you And how
You end like this Now you've had your
Share of paradise Are you living in bliss?
No How could it come to this From what we had I don't
Know How it could've come to this Are you living in bliss?
Are you living in bliss?
She don't see it I don't see it anymore She don't see it I don't see
It anymore She don't see it I don't see it anymore
She don't see it I don't Are you living in bliss? (
Are you living in?
Are you living in?
Are you living in?) Are you living in bliss? (
Are you living in?
Are you living in?
Are you living in?) Are you living in bliss? (
Are you living in?
Are you living in?
Are you living in?) Are you living in bliss? (
Are you living in?

Are you living in?
Are you living in?) Are you living in bliss?

Overall Meaning

In SPINN's song Bliss, the singer questions whether it is worth it to live in paradise when you have lost everything, including the person you thought you knew. The opening lines ask if it is worth it when the sun is shining down and the sky is blue in a place where it never rains. The singer is questioning if the idea of being happy in a perfect place is worth it when the person he shared it with doesn't see it anymore. The repetition of "she don't see it, I don't see it anymore" suggests that the relationship has lost its luster, and they are both blind to the happiness they once shared.

The chorus asks the titular question: "are you living in bliss?" with a tone of desperation. The singer wonders if the person he was with is truly happy in this paradise they created together or if it is just an illusion. They then ask if it was worth losing everything they had in their life before they moved to this paradise. The line "how could it come to this" shows the singer's confusion at how they have become so disconnected and how their perfect relationship has turned sour.

Overall, Bliss is a bittersweet song about questioning whether the idea of paradise is worth it when the person you thought you knew has changed. The singer's disillusionment with their relationship is highlighted with a catchy melody, and the repetition of the chorus makes the question even more poignant.
