But still the words came out, that night
How I fell in love with you but I no longer recognize
The one that use to make me feel alive
I don't wanna sing this song to make you feel better
Not even a desperate try to get back together
All I am is kinda lost right now
There was a three year match
Of a nine year difference
A case of bad timing after all
Tell me, maybe it is me who' changed and I don't wanna recognice
The one that use to make me laugh and cry
I don't wanna sing this song to make you feel better
Not even a desperate try to get back together
All I am is kinda lost right now
I really thought we'd last forever
Oh, I am kinda lost right now
I really thought we'd last forever
If we could do it all again
We'd probably do it all the same
That's why I'm laying here alone in bed
I feel lucky for the times we had
I don't wanna sing this song to make you feel better
I don't wanna sing this song to make you feel better
Not even a desperate try to get back together
All I am is kinda lost right now
I thought we'd last forever
Sing this song to make you feel better
I'm so lost right now
I thought we'd last forever
I am so lost right now
Cos I feel we'd last forever
The song "Last Forever" by STEREO is an emotional ballad about lost love and the realization that nothing truly does last forever. The first verse talks about the regret of the singer for expressing their love for someone who they no longer recognize, someone who no longer makes them feel alive. It's clear that something has changed in the relationship, and the singer is struggling to come to terms with it. The chorus emphasizes that the singer is not trying to sing this song to make their ex-partner feel better or to get back together, but rather to process their own feelings of being lost.
The second verse reveals that the relationship had a significant age gap of nine years with only a three-year overlap, suggesting that the two were in different life stages. The singer wonders if they themselves have changed and that's why they don't recognize their partner anymore. The bridge talks about the desire to go back and do things the same way if given the opportunity, but ultimately accepting that they are alone in bed now, feeling lucky for the times they had.
Overall, the song is a heartfelt lament about the end of a relationship that the singer thought would last forever, but ultimately didn't. It speaks to the universal experience of heartbreak and the realization that we can never truly predict or control the future of our relationships.
