Oh man, I really feel you. I dont know if you care, but when I came back from a long travel, I had a strange feeling. When I listened to that song, sitting in a parc near my home, I realized it like if it was obvious:
I never really came back. Or worst, that place don't exist anymore. The place I wanted to come back to...was no more.
Don't get me wrong here, my folks were all there safe and alive but the...me..who ran away and came back later..wasn't the same person. I don't know if that makes any sense, but yeah, that's what that song made me feel.
Like even today: I never came home.

But yeah, if you're still reading this, I just wanna let you know that I have similar problem such as depression and so on, but when the days are bright, I keep pushing to find a place or a person that I could eventually call "Home". A person that I could come back to and have that same feeling again.

So, peace out. I know things will get better for all of us, they always do. :)

As somebody who faces depression and suicide on a daily basis, I can't even begin to explain how hard this hits. How many times I've just sat and cried to this music, sat and felt every one of his words with emotion the likes of which I've been keeping holed up for years now. This song really impacted me. But when the chorus hits, it feels like a litte flash of hope and determination. I love ravens . They are intelligent, mysterious and they are pretty. I used to give some food during the winter to those birdies. There’s a counter outside of my window, I leave foods there every day .And after the ravens membered me and knock at my window for food everyday 😂

So I've seen a lot of the comments here, and I know this song hits hard for those suffering thru depression and many other obstacles in life. I've listened to this song before and I just loved it as the piece of art it is. And then tonight, while finally driving home after an entire day of consoling my best friend, whom has just been informed her baby has no heart beat and there's no ideas as to why at almost 20 weeks pregnant. 💔 to say this song pulled every single chord in my soul is an understatement, and I can relate to so many about bawling my eyes out to this song. I finally let myself release the pent up pain and just screamed at the sky and while this song continued to blast in my car, I went and had a soul crushing walk by a lake,, while talking to my never to be born (basically) nephew about how I'd be his sort of raven, to send his momma his love in every way I can and I will get her thru this. And from the bottom of my broken heart I begged the soul of an unborn child to "show" me a rock, any rock, to put his name on for his momma to always hold onto him and I swear to you, I reached down and picked up the only rock I could see in the dark and took it home. I cried again when I brought that rock inside and it was a beautiful white quarts ❤ Heart. And this song WAS the trigger that put me on a path to help heal myself and my best friend 💛
I don't know what made me feel the need to put this all here, but I wanted to get it out somewhere and let the universe and this amazing artist know how thankful I am for this song and so many others that can reach deep into bleeding wounds and start the stitching process to healing again. ❤ so thank you and to all who have read this far, I appreciate you and know that I reciprocate all the care you've shown just for reading this far. ❤ and always keep fighting. First time I heard this song it hit me like a hammer to the ribcage.. All I could see in my mind was falling to my knees out in the snow far away in the mountains screaming out for aid, alone and freezing as the sun was setting. It was almost like a vision, like it would be my destiny in the future. Ever since seeing it I have felt drawn north, like every fiber of my being wants to find what it is I was looking for out in the snow and I have no clue why.

This song feels like war set into motion. "Send in the raven..." Has this essence or vibe of something coming. "With Blood on it's wings" it is fighting through the darkness to get to you who are fighting. The raven can be anyone, it doesn't how far you are or how deeply you feel in trouble it's flying your way to rescue you from danger. A warrior in the night.
