The song 'Mustang Sally' by Wilson Pickett (originally written by Mack Rice in 1965) is a classic blues number about a woman who loves her car more than her man. The song is laced with humorous innuendos as the singer tries to tempt Sally away from her Mustang. The catchy chorus and infectious rhythm made it a hit and established it as a classic blues-rock song.
The lyrics of the song suggest that Sally's love for her Mustang is hurting the singer's feelings.
