He jumped right back in the studio and recorded "The Hustle Continues" under Get Low/ Priority Records. At age 18, Quinn had been featured on multiple Gold Certified albums, put out 3 solo albums, and was part of the group: G.L.P. Quinn was at a turning point when he released "17 Reasons" in 1997 which featured a star cast of bay area all stars. The album sold 65,000 units independently. After the success of the compilation he and his cousin Messy Marv joined together and put out Explosive Mode in 1998. The album sold 20,000 independently and gained a lot of respect throughout the industry. For the next couple years he went on tour and performed with names like Jay-Z, Master P, and Monica.
Quinn's mission became clear- he decided to do whatever it took to bring San Francisco and the bay area to the forefront of the music industry. In 1998 he started Done Deal Entertainment with Charles Kelley. In 2001 Quinn put out "The Mighty Quinn" under Champeli Entertainment. The album featured the song "Give It Up" which brought back the resurgence of radio play in the bay area. Then, "Come See Us" with KNT and "Welcome to the Bay" with Bailey, Willie Hen, and Big Rich. Done Deal Entertainment started putting out mixtapes and collaboration albums to bring their buzz up even more. In 2004, Done Deal collaborated with NBA superstar and longtime friend J.R. Rider to release "I Give U My Word". It sold over 13,000 copies to date, which was very impressive because they had no distribution for the album. Quinn's success has translated not only into record sales, but record breaking, as well - Quinn is actually featured in the Guinness Book of World Records for appearing on the most albums of any rap artist.
Quinn recently released the highly anticipated album: "The Rock-Pressure Makes Diamonds." of the album, he says "The Rock is a defining moment in San Francisco rap history. I feel like the timing's right and my situation's right and I made an album that reflects that." When asked about the title, the rapper responds "That's how I feel - isolated, standing alone out in the Bay Area. All these hard muthafucka's done came up off that rock (Alcatraz) and I breathe the same air." And like diamonds, the album shines.

San Quinn Lyrics

(San Quinn)
Yeah, yeah, listen to the story I'm about to tell
Another tale about that yayo
Little girl once in a city suite
14 introduced to the streets
Started from weed, big smoke outs
Sham, Nay, blew you blew
Now you need something else to do
A new high to try, a new place to go
Introduced to the yay to the yo
House full of girls, old and young
Playin it the table takin one on ones
Use dollar bills just to snort the lines
You see the big girls do it so of
Course it's fine
Cocaine enforced on your mind
Now blow, then they blow in ya time
(Chorus 2X)
(Dre Dog)
Let's go-
Ayo for yayo
Walk around with yayo, all in my naso
I must have been crazo
(San Quinn)
Chompin and compin kicks some blind people with they fits
Where you fit?
Fillmore Street is where you sit
Don't go in the house till you move a zip
Worked a day and night shift
To stay awake, a nigga might sniff
Not too much 'cause you might slip
Instead of 28, you cookin 26
Keep a gat in the pack in the sock
Take a couple of tubes, then its back to the block
Back to the service out the sack
Experimentin with that salt, what about that crack, huh?
One try, another try without a doubt
Papered out, always at the Potter house
Day time, night time, nigga part it out
Couldn't been a papered up power house
(Chorus 2X)
(Nickatina)
Ayo for yayo
Walk around with yayo, all in my nasal
I must have been craze yo
(San Quinn)
Like you and I, super high, like superfly
One more line, one more rhyme like groovy and fine
I can keep you down, and get you high
You like to blow? like boston george, you want some more, for you and your whores
I kick off wars, and get behind walls
And corporate doors, executive nose sore
Rich man, high, eight balls and quarters
They call me, placin they orders
Bring me across the border, buyin the cake
Before I'm sold, they take the taste
Snortin, have it, not with affordin
Some use me, strictly out of boredom
I hooked people before man, I warned them
I took many people out before them
Doin my job, connected wit the mob
Got President Bush, Whitney, and Bob
Many others all walks of life have one on ones with me every night
(Chorus 4X)
(Nicky T)
Ayo for yayo
Walk around with yayo, all in my nasal
I must have been craze yo
(big sniff) That's some good coke
The lyrics of San Quinn's song Ayo revolve around the story of a young girl who falls into the trap of drug addiction, specifically cocaine. The song starts by introducing the listener to the girl's situation - she's a little girl living in a city suite who is introduced to drugs at the age of fourteen. The song then goes on to describe her descent into addiction - she starts by smoking weed but soon moves on to snorting cocaine. She's introduced to the drug by older girls and is shown how to use dollar bills to snort the lines just like the big girls do it. As her addiction takes hold, she starts to lose herself, experimenting with new highs like salt and crack. The song ends with the singer discussing the power he has over all walks of life - from the rich and powerful (President Bush, Whitney, and Bob) to everyday people who are looking for a way to escape.
Overall, the lyrics of Ayo paint a dark picture of addiction and the power it can hold over individuals. It highlights the ease with which young people can be introduced to drugs and how quickly they can become addicted. The song also touches on the impact of addiction on individuals and their communities. The singer discusses how people lose themselves to addiction and become disconnected from the world around them.

@djstatyk1540
You aren't lying. Not many artists do this anymore. It's like i can literally imagine the scenes he's rapping. I imagine New york City, Train tracks above, coke dealers on the streets below it. All that.
