Venus
Sandra van Nieuwland Lyrics

Was burning like a silver flame.
The summit of beauty and love,
And Venus (3X) isn't my name.
She's got it.
Yeah, baby, she's got it.
Well, I'm your Venus,
At your desire.
Well, I'm your Venus,
I'm your fire,
At your desire.
Her weapons were her crystal eyes,
Making every man mad.
Black as the dark night she was,
Got what no one else had.
Wow!
She's got it.
Yeah, baby, she's got it,
Well, I'm your Venus,
I'm your fire,
At your desire.
Well, I'm your Venus,
I'm your fire,
At your desire.
She's got it.
Yeah, baby, she's got it,
Well, I'm your Venus,
I'm your fire,
At your desire.
Well, I'm your Venus,
I'm your fire,
At your desire.
The lyrics to Sandra van Nieuwland's song "Venus" refer to the Roman goddess of love and beauty who was often depicted as a stunningly beautiful woman with many suitors. The lyrics describe her as a "goddess on the mountain top" who was "burning like a silver flame" and had a "summit of beauty and love". However, the singer clarifies that she is not Venus herself by saying "And Venus isn't my name". This de-personalizes the goddess and suggests that the singer, though not Venus, possesses similar qualities.
The song continues to describe the goddess's power over men with her "crystal eyes" and her mysteriousness, as she "got what no one else had". The repetition of "she's got it" emphasizes her qualities of beauty and allure. The chorus then declares that the singer is Venus and can provide the listener with the same passion and desire that the goddess represents.
Overall, the lyrics to "Venus" celebrate the power and allure of feminine beauty and suggest that the singer possesses similar qualities that can ignite desire in the listener.
