1) Santabarbara A spanish Trio, (Mario Balaguer, Alberto López, and Enrique Milián), who gained their biggest success in 1973 with their Hit (Le llamaban) 'Charly'
that hit the top-Charts of many European countries for nearly a whole year.
Until 1976 they recorded 3 Longplayers, with minor success only in Spain and Latin America.
2) formed 2005 by band front Seb Santabarbara, a growing craze in Yorkshire at the moment, pulling their inspiration from classic rock ledgends like Led Zeppelin, Queen, Motley Crue and Iron Maiden. Their determined attitude has placed them in high regard amongst their peers and has set them apart from other local bands. Their Bassist left recently this year (2006) due to a lack of workmanship to carry on the band as a carrer and not just a bit of fun. Their EP released as 'Santabarbara' has 5 tracks "Skin of stone", "Shadow Side", "The piper", "Kings and queens" and "Dirty Wheels". It currently costs £3 and can be ordered from any band member along with band tee shirts either normal or a more fitted version for girls.

Schöne Zeiten? Vietnamkrieg und die Mauer zwischen BRD und DDR, wo so viele Menschen gestorben sind. Ich musste als Kleinkind in den 80ern oft in Westberlin nachts aufwachen wegen der Schüsse an der Mauer. Uwe - Du kommst wahrscheinlich aus einem Dorf in der BRD?

Für mich eines der schönsten Lieder die ich je gehört habe! Ich war 15 und total verliebt in den Sänger. Enric Milian. Er ist übrigens der Komponist dieses Songs. Er tritt heute noch in Spanien auf und ist inzwischen 74 Jahre alt. Aber seine Stimme hat ihren Charme nicht verloren. Man kann ihn abonnieren und dann kann man alle wunderbaren Lieder von SANTABARBARA hören……. lohnt sich wirklich!!!

@@andreasg7834 Er beherrscht seine Gitarre perfekt! Eigentlich hat er es nicht nötig Playback zu singen! Wenn er heute noch in Spanien seine Auftritte hat ist alles Live! Seine Stimme ist immer noch genial……und dieser Mann ist 75 !!! Er ist ein genialer Sänger und Komponist!
