The lyrics of Santhosh Narayanan's song Aasai Oru Pulveli seem to be an ode to the beauty of a woman. The opening lines "Aasai oor pulveli athil aan pen eru panithuli" compare the woman to a droplet of dew on a bladed grass. The following lines "Poo mithu thoongidum oru poongatru polavae" compare her to a sleeping flower that sways in the breeze. The subsequent lines "Ooh ringaramae eru nenjil mounamaga kekumae" describe the beauty of her silent voice that leaves an indelible impression on the singer's heart. The lines "Aagayam mazhayil neeradum koonthalum meesaiyum" refer to her hair and lips that become wet and glisten in the rain.
The following lines "Yaar uyir yarodu yaar udal yarodu ponathu marmam anathu inbam" suggest the intimacy between the lovers where their souls and bodies become one, a union that is both secretive and pleasurable. The lines "Katruku ellai illayae" indicate that the union is something that cannot be stopped by any force of nature. In the final stanza, the lines "Illamai thukathil irandu aekangal vizhithu parthathum varnangal viralgal korthuthan deesaigal meeralam" talk about the beauty that two young lovers experience when they look at each other's faces, where their bright eyes and sweet smiles light up their faces.
