Writing, singing and even recording is a sort of give-and-take endeavor. Inspiration comes and goes in waves. There are times when it feels natural to pour out all my thoughts on a notepad; jotting down whatever potential lyrics that, for some reason, have come to mind, and form a song. Other moments seem tailor-made for listening, reflecting and being inspired by the endless amount of musicians and songs.
Admittedly, it’s a challenging road to becoming a successful singer-songwriter. Right now, Sara's sole focus is on recording, singing, playing live—and doing it again and again. The process has always been exhilarating for her: from the moment when finding the right notes on the piano, to the last take in the studio to the first time Sara performs the song live--she loves all the stages of creativity.
The sounds of legends like Joni Mitchell and John Lennon have always coursed through Sara's veins, but of course she finds inspiration in countless other songwriters—from Cat Power to Bat for Lashes—the list grows everyday. Sara Noelle's evolving style reflects this diversity. Right now, she says, some hallmarks of the style would be stripped-down vocals supported by the lush simplicity of the piano.
