Waiting, all alone,
And there's nobody here to say it's gunna be okay,
Saw you today, you mealted me,
Could not control my eyes, was drowning in your beauty,
And if the loving was right, but the timeing was wrong,
Should I put up a fight?
Keep this in mind, got nothing but time,
And I'm just waiting, I'm waiting for your call,
Day's seem so long, since you've been gone,
From the horizon to the setting of the sun you, haunt me,
Spoke from the heart, I know I broke yours apart,
If you could only see I'm not the girl I used to be,
And if the loving was right, but the timeing was wrong,
Should I put up a fight?
Cause' the wanting is so strong,
Keep this in mind, got nothing but time,
And I'm just waiting, I'm waiting for your call,
Since you went away, I've been running round,
wearing myself out just to find you,
Since you went away, I've been trying to rebound,
But everything comes back to you,
Oh yeah, yeah, yeah,
And if the loving was right, but the timeing was wrong,
Should I put up a fight?
Cause' the wanting is so strong,
Keep this in mind, got nothing but time,
And I'm just waiting, I'm waiting for your call,
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, oh, yeah
I'm waiting, said I'm waiting for your call, I'm waiting for your call,
Waiting, oh I'm waiting, oh I'm waiting, oh I'm waiting,
I said I'm waiting, oh I'm waiting oh.
The song "Waitin'" by Sara Ramirez is a ballad about waiting for a loved one to call back. The song starts with the image of the singer sitting by the phone, waiting for a call that may never come. She is feeling lonely and vulnerable since there's nobody there to reassure her that everything is going to be okay. The second verse sees the singer longing for the person she loves, mentioning how their beauty mesmerizes her.
The chorus of the song debates the question of whether love is more crucial than timing. The singer is torn between the intense love she feels for the person and the indisputable fact that the timing may not be right. The idea of time is reiterated in the following lines, where the singer acknowledges that she has nothing but time, and she is merely waiting for a call.
The third verse reveals that the singer has been suffering from the absence of her lover since they have gone away. She's trying to move on, but the lover is always on her mind; everything seems to remind her of them. The final chorus sees the singer, once again, waiting by the phone, hoping that this time they will get the call they long for.
In conclusion, "Waitin'" is a song that depicts the agony of waiting for someone you love to come back. It describes the helplessness and intense feeling of longing that one can have in such a situation.
