The Protagonist
Timur Karakus is an active musician since the middle of the nineties in Munich at several underground formations and in the end from 1998 until 2002 very successful with a project called “CAMELEON”. He had several airplays at local radio stations, pressreleases and also live performances at festivals. All this without any record contract. Furthermore he also was the responsible producer of the Musicvideo “Schwarze Witwe” in 2006 of the german band “EISBRECHER” (Zyx-Music, actually at AFM)
Timur is the first german tounged rocksinger whose roots are turkish based. Born and grew up in Munich/Germany the idea in 2005 was born adapting oriental influences at least with our okzident modern rockmusic style. Instantly this seems to be contrary but it was an overdue and long ago logical consistency of his generation. In his function as composer, author and co-producer he accept this unusual challenge. The result of this work is SCHÖNGEIST.
The rest of the bandmembers were joining one after the other. They imidiately found themselfs at this authentic and unique philosophy of “schöngeist” and are also an essential part of the vibe this band throws out.
The Mission
SCHÖNGEIST is not a simple Rockband! They picture the ascend and slide of distraction! Intellectual lovewarriors perhaps! So they also like Goethe as much as the Playboy! But in principal they have the joy to live and making music! You..re welcome!!!

Nie mehr allein
Schöngeist Lyrics

Schlägt dir ins Gesicht
Sticht in die erstarrte Seele
Sie zerbricht
Heimatlos schaust du aufs Meer
Deine Augen so schwer
Suchst den Stern am Horizont
Doch dein Stern am Himmel
Leuchtet längst nicht mehr
Du irrst herum
Der Himmel ist leer
Nie mehr allein
Nie mehr allein
Seemann, lass das Träumen
Du wirst immer einsam sein
Bist zu weit hinaus gefahren
Stehst auf unbekanntem Land
Hast dich in dir selbst verloren
In dich selbst verbannt
Nie mehr allein
Einmal zu oft fuhrst du hinaus
Ein Sturm kam auf
Im Sturm verloren sank dein Glück
Ließ dich zurück
Nein, dein Stern am Himmel
Leuchtet dir nicht mehr
Du irrst herum
Der Himmel ist leer
The first verse of "Nie Mehr Allein" by Schöngeist is a representation of a person who is emotionally broken. It describes the wind that blows hard into their face, tearing into their entangled soul and shattering it. The person feels like they are looking out into the sea without a home, feeling heavy and possibly lost. They are searching for a glimpse of hope, and their eyes might be drooping from the constant search for a star on the horizon, where perhaps they will find salvation. Unfortunately, they have lost faith in something that they believed in, and the sky appears to be empty.
The chorus of the song carries a message of hopelessness, despite the person being at sea, having found some sort of direction. It says "never alone, never alone, sailor, stop dreaming, you will always be alone." The person is completely isolated from the world and will have to bear that isolation alone. They have gone too far into the sea and have reached an unfamiliar land. They have lost themselves, and they cannot find their way back. In effect, they have lost the hope they were searching for in the first place.
In the second verse, the song talks about the downfall of the person who has gone too far out into the sea. A storm comes, and they lose everything in it, including their happiness. They are left behind to suffer the consequences, and their hope fades as well. Therefore, the star in the sky that they have been looking for is not shining any longer, and they are filled with despair, trying to find their way back to a life that they once knew.
