You know that right
So don't dish it cause I'll
Throw it back like dynamite
You better watch where you steppin'
Cause girl with me you can't win
No need to compete
Don't be tryin' to step
Where you know you shouldn't be
Cause I'm the type of girl
That you know can bring the heat
So you better step it back
Cause I don't want to interact
You don't want me to lose control
Cause if you try to get me
Then I'm-a gonna get you back
What go around come around girl
What go around come around girl
Cause if you try to get me
Then I'm-a gonna get you back
What go around come around girl
Then I'm a gonna get you back
Now I hear that you been talkin' bout me
So keep on talkin' but you gonna see
I maybe young maybe young
But I ain't playing no game
Cause you get burned
When your playing with flames
Cause if you try to get me
Then I'm-a gonna get you back
What go around come around girl
Then I'm a gonna get you back
The School Gyrls' What Goes Around is a song about not letting anyone cross you without a fight. The lyrics talk about how the singer won't tolerate being underestimated or mistreated, and that anyone throwing shade her way will face consequences. The song's title itself suggests that one's misdeeds will eventually catch up with them sooner or later. The lyrics are mostly targeted towards a girl who might be trying to compete or undermine the singer. The singer states that she's not one to mess with and that trying to step where she shouldn't be will result in getting burned.
The chorus serves as a warning to anyone who tries to mess with the singer. It says that if anyone tries to hurt the singer, karma is going to strike them and they will face the consequences of their actions. The singer doesn't believe in taking the high road and warns that if someone brings negativity into her life, she's going to fight back. The bridge is a declaration of the singer's independence and capability to handle herself, despite being young. She asserts that nobody should play games with her because they will get burned.
In conclusion, the School Gyrls' What Goes Around is a song about standing up for oneself and fighting back against those who try to bring you down. The lyrics emphasize that it's essential to treat others the way you want to be treated, and karma always catches up with wrongdoers.
