Rock 'n' Roll ain't pretty and neither is Scott H. Biram. The self proclaimed "Dirty Old One Man Band" successfully, and sometimes violently, lashes together blues, hillbilly and country precariously to raucous punk and godless metal. Biram ain't no dour ass singer/songwriter either, sweetly strumming songs about girls with big eyes and dusty highways. HELL NO!!! His singing, yodeling, growling, leering and brash preachin' and hollerin' is accompanied by sloppy riffs and licks from his 1959 Gibson guitar and pounding backbeat brought forth by his amplified left foot. The remainder of this one-man band consists of an unwieldy combination of beat-up amplifiers and old microphones strung together by a tangled mess of guitar cables.
Years of non-stop touring have honed his assault to a fine edge; his wide-eyed throwdowns in the First Church of Ultimate Fanaticism routinely lead giddy followers to a fiery baptism.
Jack of Diamonds

And I never want a thing
Yeah, you can find a mother hard
As hard as me
And I played it in the fall
Never wanted a thing at all
Jack of diamonds was her heart
And I fell down on my knees
And pleaded the Jack of spades
Never go hard, mother
As hard as me
I played yesterdays
There was a starvation in my veins
Jack of diamonds was her heart
Hard to break
And I payed all the dues
Look at Jack in front of you
Jack of diamonds was her heart
Hard to break
And I even (???)
It was almost part of me
Jack of diamonds was her heart
Hard to break
And I played against the law
Put the judge in front the door
Jack of diamonds was her heart
Hard to break
Oh, I played the Jack
And the gall relentlessly made me cry
Jack of diamonds was her heart
Hard to break
Yeah, left bleeding out of six
And left me in a terrible bit
Jack of diamonds was her heart
Hard to break
Yeah, I told you last week
As plain as a man can speak
I'm gonna send you to your pappa
Big deal
And I played against the king,
But life can turn round
Ya, come on, motherfucker
I played against the king,
And liked to make the daemon sing
I played against the king,
but life can turn round
The lyrics of Scott H. Biram's song "Jack of Diamonds" describe the singer's experiences playing a variety of games, including cards, and his struggles with a woman whose heart is hard to break. The singer compares himself to a jack of diamonds, both hard and unyielding. He has played many things but has never really wanted anything, and he has always been as hard as any mother he's known. He played in the fall and never wanted anything at all, but he found that the jack of diamonds was the hardest to break. He pleads to the jack of spades, asking it to never go as hard as he has.
Throughout the song, the singer describes playing games like gambling, going against the law and the king, and paying his dues. He acknowledges that playing these games has been almost a part of him, and that the jack of diamonds was always the hardest to break. In the end, the singer reflects on his experiences and acknowledges that life can turn around, even when it seems like everything is against him.
Overall, the lyrics of "Jack of Diamonds" convey a sense of toughness and resilience in the face of life's challenges. The singer has played many games and faced many struggles, but he remains unyielding in his resolve to keep going.

And I played against the king
I even challenged those in power

I won't back down from a challenge
And liked to make the daemon sing
And I relish in making my opponents suffer
I played against the king,
And I'll keep fighting for what I want
