Only recently at the airport I've been told the exact same line "there's no need to swear, sir" - what a shame I did not see this good stuff before....

There was an occasion some years ago when a police officer in England was shot, and as he lay on the ground with a bullet in him, he swore at the gunman as he ran away. That cop received a complaint from a member of the public for swearing. True!

@Laurence D. Williams I read the article 8 YEARS AGO and thought at the time it was funny. I admit at the time 8 YEARS AGO I took it as probably true and didn't check factual sources. I have now "learnt my lesson" Laurence, thank you. I'm worried now because I have since posted comments I didn't thoroughly research the accuracy of, so people like you who seek the truth might pick me up on my comments in 8 YEARS. I'll do better from now on. Do you know Laurence there are people posting comments like man didn't land on the Moon, the Earth is flat and Elvis is still alive without evidence? Go get 'em mate!

@tmhgdh I mean Christ, how often is a cop shot in England? Once a decade? This story would be household knowledge if true.
Laurence D. Williams
@tmhgdh perhaps I'll have less opportunity to do so in 8 years time because you'll have learned your lesson to not spout utter complete bollocks that you read that was clearly made up.
