Having formed less than 1 year ago, SECRETS have already made an impact as one of the most promising up and coming acts in the scene. Armed with irresistibly catchy choruses, soaring vocals, and mercilessly dynamic breakdowns, SECRETS is preparing to tour heavily in support of the new release this fall.
Velocity Records’ Dave Shapiro says, "When I heard these songs, I knew San Diego had yet another band that would be at the forefront of their genre." Rise Records’ founder Craig Ericson is equally pumped on the signing, explaining, "Dave showed me the band and I immediately knew these guys were keepers.”

Ass Back Home
Secrets Lyrics

Or when you're coming home
I left the keys under the mat to our front door
For one more chance to hold you close
I don't know, where you're going
Just get your ass back home
We both knew this type of life didn't come with instructions
And sometimes it gets downright shitty in fact
When you call and I don't even know what city I'm at
Or what day of the week in the middle of the month
In a year I don't recall
It's like my life's on repeat and the last time we spoke
I told you I wouldn't be long, yeah
That was last November, now December's almost gone
I'd apologize but I don't realize what I'm doing wrong
I don't know, where you're going
Or when you're coming home
I left the keys under the mat to our front door
For one more chance to hold you close
I don't know, where you're going
Just get your ass back home
And you've been nothing but amazing
And I never take that for granted
Half of these birds would have flew the coop
But you, you truly understand it
And the fact you stood beside me
Every time you heard some bogusness
You deserve a standing o 'cause they'd a just been over it
Let 'em talk, let 'em talk, let 'em talk, let 'em talk
Like we don't hear what they saying
Let 'em walk, let 'em walk, let 'em walk, let 'em walk
We'll just drive by and keep waving
'Cause you and I above all that
Just let them wallow in it
Now they all choked up, yuck
'Cause they be swallowing it
I don't know, where you're going
Or when you're coming home
I left the keys under the mat to our front door
For one more chance to hold you close
I don't know, where you're going
Just get your ass back home
I don't care what you're after
As long as I'm the one, no
I don't care why you're leaving
You'll miss me when you're gone
Don't forget me
When I come back, I don't know
Don't forget me
When I come back home
I don't know, where you're going
Or when you're coming home
I left the keys under the mat to our front door
For one more chance to hold you close
I don't know, where you're going
Just get your ass back home
The song "Ass Back Home" by Secrets is a love song about a couple's struggles with being in a long-distance relationship. The singer in the song expresses their uncertainty about their partner's whereabouts and the difficulty of being apart from them. The chorus emphasizes the singer's desire for their partner to come back home, regardless of where they've been or what they've been doing.
The second verse reveals the difficulties that come with the singer's job, which has them traveling frequently and suffering from a lack of stability. The singer acknowledges that they may not have been the best partner in their absence, but they still long for the familiarity and comfort of being with their loved one.
The bridge of the song praises the singer's partner for their constant support, even in the face of gossip or negativity from others. The singer asserts their commitment to their relationship and promises to keep waving at the naysayers in the rearview mirror.
Overall, "Ass Back Home" is a raw and honest exploration of the ups and downs of a long-distance relationship, encapsulated in a catchy pop-punk melody.

@runedine
I know this song is written to describe the complicated relationship between a singer and his lover, but I think this song really explains what military families go through as well
@adamfleetwood3980
Such an insightful thing to say! I never looked at it from that perspective, cheers for that
@Yamchasballs
So true. I feel so bad for the ones who come home to find they moved on.
@vinny1537
Not just a singer. Anyone who travels a lot.

This type of "Screamo" is called Post-Hardcore or Metalcore. Both of which showed up in the 80's as an off shoot of the Punk movement. It evolved and picked things up from different genres of music eventually becoming what it is today. Post-Hardcore and Metalcore have influence from mostly Punk but also Rock, Metal, and slightly Grunge. Those who say this isn't Punk are wrong. It's a sub-genre of Punk and it's one of the more well know Sub-genres of Punk. It's music. It contains a beat, melody, tempo, and all the classifications of what music is supposed to have. Screaming is a vocal technique not just yelling into a mic. Rise Against is a band that yells into the mic. Screaming isn't that. Do your research, then talk shit about people's favorite type of music.

Screamo isn't a genre of music though.
This is a sub-genre of metal, which originates from classical music anyway. Try again.
@KRentzOfficial
