Body Speak
Serayah McNeill Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Na, na, na, nah, na, na, no

I been working all week standing on my two feet, shake it off and let it go
Seen you from across the room, you look like you got that boom, conor is my tempo

I've heard it before, I don't wanna hear any more no
You got that something, that I can't resist
And I'll show you just what it is
(Oh-ooh) It's your touch I'm craving
Feel the rush, don't say a word
(Oo-oh) Say no words (oo-oh)

Sick of talking, make that body speak
Shut your mouth, let it come out your lips
And baby if you're worth it, I'll give you that service
That body speak, make that body, body speak

Now the room is spinning
Tipsy off that good drink
Show me what you got in mind
I be lookin' too good
Too good to go home alone
Baby don't you waste my time

I've heard it before, I dont wanna hear any more no
You got that something, that I can't resist
And I'll show you just what it is
(Oh-ooh) It's your touch I'm craving
Feel the rush, don't say a word
(Oh-oh) say no words (oo-oh)

Sick of talking, make that body speak
Shut your mouth, let it come out your lips

And baby if your worth it, I'll give you that service
That body speak, make that body-body speak

Overall Meaning

The song "Body Speak" by Serayah McNeill talks about a woman's desire to connect with someone through physical touch instead of words. The lyrics are very playful and flirty and suggest that the singer is ready to let loose for a night of fun. The artist sings that she has been working all week and needs to let loose, and when she sees someone she likes across the room, she wants him to show her just what he has in mind. The lyrics "shut your mouth, let it come out your lips" emphasizes the idea that sometimes, body language can say more than words ever could.

The chorus is catchy and emphasizes the main message, which is that the singer is "sick of talking" and wants to "make that body speak." She wants the other person to understand through touch and movement that she is interested and craving their attention. The lyrics romanticize the concept of physical touch and how it can communicate what words cannot.

Overall, the song is a fun and playful take on the idea of communication through body language, and how it can bring two people together.

The beginning of this is Ciara's Get Up, slowed down with a couple of switched notes.... try singing Ciara's lyrics - 'Hi, my name is so and so
Baby can you tell me yours?
You look like you came to do
One thing (Set it off)'
I started on the left
And I had to take him to the right
He was out of breath
But he kept on dancin' all night

and you'll see LOL
